Bad Movie Masterclass Volume Two is in session! TWIN DRAGON ENCOUNTER (1986) Two identical twin kickboxers take their girlfriends on a romantic trip to their wilderness cabin (bunk beds!) in matching branded vans. But not all goes to plan, as they bump into a hilarious psycho named jake who runs a private army of 20 confused men for...reasons. Though they do eventually confront one another, the real heart of this film is the weirdly paced vacation scenes: lunch! Boat trips! Enjoying the sun! Weird twins! As our heroes watched Jake the villain escape (minus a hand), we all hoped against hope to find the resolution to this tale. 1990s Dragon Hunt solved that problem, when jake returned and captured the twins for a deadly game of hunt the kickboxers. The sequel is less fun and less Canadian and had way less vacationing. However, we do learn from the extremely occasional overdubs that Jake the villain had somehow become omnipotent! Highly recommend the first film and would love to get a Canadian perspective.
