Linktober Day 2 - Magic/Sorcery The Song of Soaring
MY BABY
GUYS DONT SEND HIM TO WAR HES ONLY 4 YEARS OLD
Hjsjsjsj hey Majoras Mask LEAVE MY BRAIN
Every once in a month I remember OT/MM link and spiral 😭 anyways I wanted to draw fierce deity based on a cool statue from Pinterest :) downside is nearly 7 hours of work 💀 I had a lot of fun though, lots of manga references. I used hyrule warriors kid link/mask and figured it would be like, finding a statue in someone else’s time of back when the diety was- well, a deity :)
Shoutout to the studio ghibli brush set btw I refuse to draw grass or leaves 😀
(Edits- the 5 million spell errors 💀)
I apologize for this
A redraw I started a while ago but never finished. When I saw this Yamishibai illustration, I knew what had to be done! I love how child link’s eyebrows design is kind reversed, I wasn’t used to draw them like that 😆. Yamishibai means theater of darkness and it comes from Kamishibai which is paper theather! I learned some fun stuff about Japanese art and theater history. I see the Salesman as a art/ magical artifact collector, some sort of time traveler exorcist/ healer but also a actor story teller in a way except he tells them through the masks he collects. I also learned about Noh mask theater and I started to think of parallels and influence it might have had in Majora’s Mask. Makes me love the characters and game even more!!
