It was some strange cosmic event, but Anaiya Strai found herself going through a time warp while en route to some backwater planet.
With the evidence confronting her of what had happened, she realized she had the opportunity to... take care of a few things; tie up some loose ends and, perhaps, make things better.
The only problem was: she wasn’t certain how long this would last.
Searching the star map for anything familiar, Ana paused at the name SNILIA. She knew that planet... she knew... ah! Cairis’ homeworld! Perhaps...
Checking the chronometer, she did some quick calculations and realized that Cairis would be roughly twenty years old and still living on Snilia. Cairis had once told her of the way maturation chronology worked for Snilians: Infancy to toddler was from birth to ten decaphoebs. Snilians were then in young childhood until age thirty-five, and then older childhood until age sixty-five, and then the final development years to adulthood at age one-hundred.
Cairis will be in young childhood at this time, Ana thought. She’ll be old enough to understand what I tell her.
Deciding to give it a shot, Ana made her way to Snilia.
Upon arrival, she gained a visitor’s pass and rejected all advice attempting to dissuade her from going to the lower and base branches.
Ana found the nearest vineway station and began making her way down through the massive tree towards Branch Duthea.
