5 Kid-Friendly 7-inch Tablets Released at CES 2013
Kid-friendly tablets were a huge deal at CES 2013. Not surprisingly, all of them have 7-inch displays to compete with the iPad mini. From Polaroid to Vivitar, read on to see the newly released kid-friendly tablets your child will love. All running on the Android OS.
Acer announced it will be releasing its 7-inch tablet, the Iconia B1-A71.
It's ideal for first time users or families opting for a 2nd tablet for their children, according the brand. The tablet will retail between $99- $150, and will run on Android's Jelly Bean OS.
Polaroid's highly anticipated tablet was released, and is now available for purchase.
It's running on Android 4.0 and retails at $150. The brand prides itself in its parental controls and custom browser for a safe environment for kids.
One Laptop Per Child partnered up with Vivitar to release its ultra-thin, 7-inch tablet, the XO 3.0.
The tablet will run on the Android OS and include education software from OLPC. It will retail at under $100.
Vizio is also hopping on the 7-inch tablet bandwagon.
It's running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2, and should be released the first half of the year. No retail price just yet, but I have a feeling it will be around $100-$150 to compete with the other 7-inchers on the market.
Ematic partnered up with Zoodles to launch the FunTab Pro.
It's chock full of neat functionality including interactive books, video mail and apps. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and retails at $150.
