KID and PK, two famous New Jersey writers are famous for a few good reasons: they get up often, and they also get plenty of heaven spots. "Heaven spots" refers to spots that are extremely dangerous and usually very high up, often leaving people wondering "how did they get up there??". Heaven spots have the benefit of being very visible, getting a lot of rep from in the scene, as well as usually being hard for graffiti removal squads to buff. Not a lot is known about the writers KID and PK, but there are plenty of rumors surrounding them. Some think that KID PK is a single person, a writer from LA who wrote on gang turf and whose family moved to evade them. Another rumor is that PK is from Staten Island and met a retired Vietnam vet who was very skilled at climbing and rappelling who taught him. PK then took KID under his wing and that is how they are able to achieve such death-defying feats. And yet another rumor is that the original KID and PK are retired, with many other writers impersonating or even throwing up their tags for them. Those who believe this theory point out variations in older and newer tags. Recently, however, there has been an influx of "FREE PK" tags appearing in NJ, as well as lone KID tags, which suggest that PK has been arrested while KID remains free. Whatever their story is, they are well respected and are one easily one of the most famous bombing duos in graffiti, not just New Jersey. Their signature, easily recognizable styles can be seen all throughout New Jersey, from North to South, just look upward and you might just see a KID/PK piece staring back at you.
