This will probably come as a surprise to nobody, but it’s Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. Games with an engaging plot and brilliant characterisation are basically my favourite thing ever, and PMD is a series that does characters and plot MASTERFULLY. Couple that with the Pokémon world, which is a defining part of my life, and you have the best game ever made, im my own opinion. I fell in love with PMD after playing Red Rescue Team, but Explorers of Sky (well, I only played Time, but Sky is basically the improved version) was where I truly found my favourite gaming experience to date. Close seconds: Pokémon ORAS, Bastion.
4. Favourite Video Game character
This is a much harder one for me, because most games I love have a very silent protagonist, and in many cases, few other characters to interact with in meaningful ways. I’m prooobably gonna go for a tie between Grovyle from PMD and The Kid in Bastion. They’re both well written, there’s this sense of deep bravery in a horrible post apocalyptic world about them, and idk, I guess I must like that.
14. Most memorable gaming moment
The scene in PMD after the Temporal Tower. I’m not gonna say any more.
18. If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Now, most of what I play are singular stories, and whilst there is definite pleasure in re-playing a story several times, I’m not sure if an infinite number of playthrough for the rest of my life is a good idea. I’d probably grow tired of the game VERY quickly. So this is an extremely hard question for me, haha. However, I’m gonna cheat it a little by saying Pokémon in general. I can always sit down and play a Pokémon game, no matter what it is, and enjoy myself. Be it challenge playthroughs of main series games, or playthroughs of new games, I’d never be bored. Considering my attention span and love of games in general, this is prolly the only choice.
