Mackenzie was really happy for her two friends getting married, and as a bridesmaid that was definitely part of her duties. Still, it was kind of upsetting to see everyone dancing with their significant other while you mingled by yourself. She knew that there were a few people that she could talk to but she didn’t feel up to it. Mackenzie could have also bothered Valerie and Silas, but she knew that they were probably still gushing over the news of their baby. And, since they were her closest friends besides the bride and groom that left Mackenzie off to herself. As she made her way back to the table, she spotted Avery also by himself. She figured that it would be rude to not acknowledge her ex since she was the one that asked if they could talk in the first place. Making her way over to him, Mackenzie picked up two drinks from the table. “They don’t have your favorite drink here, so I hope you can settle for champagne.” She sighed dramatically, as she walked up closer. “Are you having the best time of your life?”
