How does the poster advertise the exhibition?
The poster is a vibrant fashion image which is perfect for drawing people in and attracting attention with its strong colours and shapes. The image is of a very high quality which shows people what to expect. The poster has all of the relevant information that is needed such as name, date and location.
What is the suitability of the exhibition space? what is the layout?
The gallery space suits the exhibition well as it was lots of room in a circle meaning people can walk right around to work their way through it. The portrait format images are on a different floor to the landscape Images which I feel is a good way of separating the different images. The layout is two boards attached to each other and repeated around the circular floor.
The work was mounted with a screw at each side of the frame. This is the same with all of the images. I like this because it keeps it consistent and looks a lot cleaner than if different frames were mounted differently.
The work is Made by The HND Second year students at City of Glasgow College.
The audience is family, friends, fellow students, photographer guests and people that are attending the theatre.
It makes me feel happy and glad to be part of such a successful exhibition showing a very high standard of work in a lot of different genres of photography.
No titles were used in this exhibition just the photographers name was displayed so imagination would need to be used.
I would describe the exhibition to someone by saying that is a exhibition showcasing the work of HND2 students showing a very high standard of work.
Because there was no description or title shown with the photos it really allowed me to use my imagination and let me decide what I think is going on in the images.
The photos were on sale for £130 with a frame and £90 for the print.
The prints are for sale to anyone that is interested.
Business cards of the photographers were left on a table for people to pick up.
The exhibition was organised by HND2 in different groups and by the lecturers.
