Like, almost all of my Rooks have a funky sense of gender (whether they're fully trans or just not-entirely-cis), but the fact that Elcen Mercar (a Denerim city elf) and Konogan Aldwir (a chasind mage) are the most genderfucked of the bunch and both of them just happen to be from Ferelden...

And the fact that my 1st timeline Warden is a genderqueer lesbian, and my Hawke in that same timeline is a transgender woman too...

Well, I am starting to think maybe growing up in Ferelden just does that to you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

okay so it's such a long shot/doesn't fully fit with my imagined timeline of events, but I keep thinking about what if Kieshara was actually the one who had recruited Turnys to the Grey Wardens in the first place, and that's the reason why The Arishok immediately called off he pursuit. Not just because he "once knew an honourable Warden" but because his old friend Kieshara Tabris herself enacted the Right Of Conscription specifically. And it kind of serves to pull even stronger from that "Hero Of Ferelden and Warden Duncan" parallel in a way, moreso than Awakening already does.

I mean like, idk, the only real reasons I'm not fully sold on it is because; -A) I kinda struggle to imagine that Kieshara would travel anywhere post-DAI without Leliana at her side and idk how much time she gets to have away from the Sunburst Throne (unless they're both pulling favours from Morrigan's girlfriend/qpr privelige to take quick Eluvian shortcuts??) -and B) as much as I love Veilguard, it already suffers so heavily from the unfortunate "everyone in the world knows each other already" phenomenon during just the opening quests and it makes every character introduction feels so forced and "marvel-esque", so adding even more onto that just feels kind of hackneyed and clunky to me.
