can i just mention how absolutely disgusting it is how much tr/sc/m worship gender roles? like if youre binary trans and dont do every single sterotype of your gender theyll call you a tr/nd/r whether you have dysphoria or not and thats absolutely disgusting

honestly i have noticed that too, i was on a truscum/transmed stim blog bc i accidently found it and.....one of the posts was legit abt how trans guys can use stuff from the hardware store to stim with and like. nice resourcefulness i guess but? thats not? automatically? manly??

Who's Ciecil?

One of our old exes that seems to like to harass us and Elliot’s boyfriend a lot, or at the very least stalk us. We’ve been separated from him, even as just an acquaintance or friend, for about 2 years now but he seems to always drag up things again. And he goes behind blocks on social media to send / message nasty things, today being an example as we have his main blocked on our accounts. He’s also harassed and stalked other people, mostly past partners, and been either abusive or just toxic in some way. We did know him at a bad point in our life and did say / do some childish, immature, or otherwise untasteful things (nothing too extreme, just really embarrassing honestly). So I will give him that, we weren’t the best, but nothing so extreme we deserve all this I believe. We were at the very most toxic at the time if anything, and have gotten better since then. Along with learning from it all, what was bad, etc. Anyways, I went into a bit of detail just in case he does bring up anything or try to add on to the drama or such - k

I’m not trying to start discourse or anything but aren’t transmeds people who think that you need dysphoria to be trans? How is saying that trans people experience dysphoria gross?Isn’t that what being trans means? Being uncomfortable in the body you were born in and feeling more comfortable transitioning?

transmeds are people who believe trans identities should be medicalized, truscum are the ones who believe anyone whos trans requires dysphoria to be trans. i didnt say that trans ppl who experience dysphoria are gross, i meant that ppl who are excluding and gatekeeping in that sense are gross. because dysphoria is sometimes a big element in ppls lives as a trans person, but for others its not. and a lot of times being trans doesnt mean someones binary trans, which would make dysphoria more complicated and different, or just nonexistent in the sense that theyd view their body as their gender regardless, etc etc. not to mention a lot of transmeds/truscum are exclusionary to nonbinary identities or identities that arent binary trans. the whole argument is very broad and has different points to different people, but in the end, i dont want ppl who disregard the possibility of someone being trans without dysphoria and/or view being trans as a medical condition rather than an identity to interact

I think something people don't realize is that someone can feel uncomfortable with their gender/body without it being classified as gender dysphoria (which has a certain diagnosis). And medicalizing being trans is equating it to an illness, the same as when it was considered a mental illness. You are totally okay to not wanting transmeds or truscum to interact

YEAH that too, like i personally dont even have much dysphoria on average when hanging out at home or around ppl im super comfortable with. but with strangers and in public i get so much more nervous and self conscious abt not looking the way i want gender presentation wise. and yeah like....a lot of times in misc studies ive read, it was shown that a lot of times gay or trans patients that were being “treated” for their feelings felt broken, and disconnected from other people in a super unhealthy way. it really just sounds like an awful idea, especially since we as a community have already grown from that stage of identity back when it was a thing. thank you for sending this and agreeing with me tho!

im gonna say it again bc clearly some of yall dont know how to be decent people: if you have an issue with me or think i have an opinion you dont like, ask me for clarification. if you see a rumor about me or think anything these two asshats are saying is true, ask me for clarification. if you for one second think i support ANY of that bullshit, ask me for clarification. im okay explaining to best of my ability, and yeah i have some strange or different opinions/comforts but that doesnt mean you get to assume things about me or my stances

@ any other anons sending asks about the truscum and transmeds discourse: Can I say that I’m pretty sure putting dashes through it in an attempt to censor it might just make it so people who have it blacklisted will see it anyways bc it won’t pick up on the word?

Lol thank you for answering my question without eating me alive or blocking me. I genuinely have been unsure about the use of banners and I think I understand now. I’m still on the fence about them but I understand more why you use them. Thank you for your fantastic answer

its np! i honestly understand being confused, all this is confusing, esp with all the weird labels. and yeah i get that, i used to be kinda.....undecided on all this but after looking at the community, it kinda helped me decided i didnt like that at all. i hope ya figure it out tho!
