Dude, I’m so, so, sorry, are you sure you’re okay?” Wrestling wasn’t ballet, by any means, and accidents happened all the time, but that didn’t mean Mercedes wasn’t going to feel horrible about accidentally hitting Becky on her head with that steel chair, and how badly she felt about it was clearly evident in the way she was insisting on holding an ice pack to the back of Becky’s head, while the trainers checked her out one last time.

The question passed her lips without even realizing it, but it bothered her - when Becky won’t even tell her own mother that there is something more to their relationship then just friendship. But hearing the reasons and reflecting onto how both of their personal lives are usually displayed on social media Nikki understood where her girlfriend was coming from. “I’m not angry, just upset. Knowing that you won’t even tell your mom that there’s someone special in your life right now... it sucks”, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear, one half of the Bella Twins took a few steps closer to the fridge to pull out a bottle of water. “When it comes to telling people about us, for me at least, telling my family is a must. I am happy and they see it, which makes them want to know the reason behind it”, taking a few sips of water, Nicole put the bottle down and reached for Becky’s hand, entwining their fingers. “Others don’t need to know shit about us, because it’s our life. Maybe we should consider telling the family soon? Can you imagine them learning about us from some dirt sheets?”

Every time the two were alone, Joe was overcome by guilt. He knew it was wrong, but yet he couldn’t stay away. “With you being on R.aw and me being on Sm.ackdown, sneaking around like this is going to be hard as hell.” He said as he drove the rental to the hotel. “What excuse did you give Colbs, by the way? “prove you really are the man,” steve drawls, encroaching upon her space in the ring. the gym is quiet save for the two of them locked in this dance, footsteps heavy on the canvas as they circle each other. steve lunges halfway, hand outstretched to take a swipe near becky’s throat before swiftly pulling back. 

“problem is, i don’t think you can. think you’re weak. don’t deserve to wear that little belt around your waist.” another jab, an open hand connecting with her ribs this time. enough to sting, to coax the young woman into unleashing her fury.

stinging skin, ivory turning crimson under a furious palm across his face. impressive. he was starting to think she’d lost her fire; that was unacceptable for a champion as far as steve was concerned. “did i piss you off?” he asks, sneering, half-encouraging. draw out the darkness and let becky run wild with it; she was damn incredible to watch when she did. 

“good. don’t back down from it. don’t let anybody stop you from getting what you want.”

The words left her stunned, as they usually did whenever it came to Becky. Their relationship was always complicated, but right now she just wanted to put it all behind them and show the Irish native that she was all in this time. “Just this once? As soon as her lungs were starting to scream for air she pulled back just a fraction, remaining pressed against the other woman, pressing quick kisses to her lips. “Don’t you dare think I’m leaving you again”.
