Tokyo Mew Mew OOAK

Ever since I started making custom dolls 5-6 years ago I always wanted to make a a complete set of the Mew Mews. I’m glad I didn’t jump into them right away because I know the dolls would of suffered because of my lack of experience. With the release of Tokyo Mew Mew New I finally decided no time would be better than now to make these. 

For more of my ramblings about the dolls look below the cut.

I’ve looked to see any other customizers have done all the girls and I haven’t seen anyone do it yet(or maybe I didn’t look hard enough?). 

I used Ever After High dolls for these. Mint, Pudding and Ringo use the short body type and Zakuro uses the taller body. Thought I’d point that out case the way I have these set up it’s kinda hard to tell that the girls are different heights. 

Ichigo does have curly hair in the back but it’s impossible to see with these pics. It’s also impossible to see her Mew mark but it is there. Her tail is also posable! 

Zakuro doesn’t have boots and instead I tried to paint a pair of heels the same color as the fabric to give the ‘illusion’ she’s in boots. I just couldn’t make a good pair of thigh highs so I improvised. 

I photoshopped the Ringo character cd and strategy guide behind Ringo cause I didn’t have anything with her on it. I hope it’s not to distracting. Also Ringo makes for such a precious doll!!

It’s time for the girls, obviously! (This is a very very old sketch and there are a few mistakes ^^’ maybe I should re-draw some of them instead of just reposting, if I found the time ç_ç...) Ichigo and Retasu have the same uniform as they go to the same school, while Minto studies at a private institute. Putin’s a bit weird in a middle school uniform xD but, during the time the story is set in, it’d be rare for a girl to completely stop going to school, until at least the first years of high school. Zakuro is the same - but she already was beautiful and adult ❤
