6 Days of Vani-mas: Day 1

Forgive me y'all but I don't know how to make tumblr text posts all pretty. The kikination discord server did a secret santa this year, put on by the lovely @serendipitasha

For my secret santa I got @writesvani !! Merry Christmas babe ♡

I made you a cookie recipe for each of your fics and I'm posting one each day leading up to christmas for what I am dubbing "vani-mas".

My inspiration for Midnight in Saint Moritz was partially from the title. I wanted to play with color and dark rich flavors. When I thought of old money/rich families, I couldn't help but think of drinking espresso on a cafe balcony. From what we know of JK's character he's going to shake things up, so I thought it should be a classic (butter cookie) with the addition of a bold flavor (espresso). Enjoy the first recipe!

Recipe was adapated from Sally's Baking Addiction

OK down low cookie. My inspiration for this one was a cookie that you couldn't help but eat multiple of. A cookie that you would devour 5 of in one go. At first I wanted to do just a chocolate chip cookie, but I wanted to make the flavor richer. Similar to Coming Down I wanted it to be almost Too much. That culminated in a chocolate chip cookie dough, but stuffed with a semi-sweet chocolate filling. @writesvani

Extra Secret, Secret Santa

@serendipitasha took herself out of the kikination secret santa so it would be fair. But I'm not gonna let my girl go without a present this year!! Inspired by your nickname in the server I made you some miffy banners for Christmas. Enjoy my love ❤

BETWEEN THE LINES COOKIE MY BELOVED. I made this one and it tastes so good y'all. The idea that I had for this cookie is I wanted two, very strong, very bold flavors. Flavors that were so strong you would expect them to clash, but when put together they fit really well. @writesvani

I had a similar inspiration for this cookie as I had for down low. When thinking of the character's relationship, I wanted something that would be very rich. Something that would be almost too much, but was so good you just kept coming back to it. @writesvani

My inspiration for this story was thinking of a cookie that would be familiar, kind of cozy and subtly sweet. Something you could look back on fondly. Not something that would strike out to you immediately, but something that would grow on you over time. @writesvani

Dear Me!! This is the one I was most excited for as my favorite vani story, and the cookie I thought of first. When I thought of Dear Me, I thought of my most intense literary analysis crash outs. Something that made me write paragraphs upon paragraphs of character analysis. And when I'm 5 pages deep into my own thoughts on a story, I'm always sitting on my couch drinking tea. Thus the earl grey sugar cookie was born. @writesvani
