hiii im rewatching the mens individuals free prorgamme now and i wonder. is this way of dancing to the music usual? what i mean is, i dance ballet and based on that experience i keep expecting them to jump, turn, etc based on the music at different times than they actually do! so im curious if its just a way different style of dancing (clearly) or if people are being a little silly here
hi! :) hope you're having fun!!!
okay to answer the second question first, it's a combination of things. men's free skates tend to always be a splatfest because quads are hard to do and it's worth the points to attempt a quad they can't land and fall and still get the base value of the points, and free programs are so long that by the end of the program they're more tired and likely to make mistakes. combine that with the nerves and pressure of skating in the biggest competition in the world, and you get what happened yesterday. there may also have been some minor impact from it being friday the 13th (skaters tend to be a superstitious lot) and at least one skater has claimed the arena was warmer than it should have been which may have affected the ice quality, but i think it was mostly nerves.
so about dancing! ballet has historically had a huge influence on figure skating, most of them cross train in ballet at some point in their skating careers, but not all skaters have the same level of skill when it comes to executing choreography. a lot of songs frequently used for figure skating come from ballets obviously, but it's hard to translate all of those dance moves to the ice. shun sato's firebird was quite good for a firebird program but it's hard to capture the quick frenetic movements typical to the firebird ballet solos on skates. musicality is not a priority for all skaters, so a lot of the time like with ilia and torgashev's frees especially, they don't really prioritize doing choreography in between the jump passes and the transitional content in the program is pretty sparse. vs for example both of Yuma's programs have really good musical interpretation and execution of choreography and elements being performed on beat
went to an aquarium today and i saw this hair clip,,,,,,where it not for the fact my hair is simply too thick to work for this it would be an instant buy
Wait holy shit that's beautiful. If only I had an outfit to style that to.... would definitely include some "women want me fish fear me" items.

Ik vergeet altijd dat dit Nederlands is
kikker. is kikker

Floris the Frog | Birthday Calendar
A frogtastic calendar to remind yourself of important dates, like birthdays, wedding dates or perhaps something else important in your life!
These monthly pages are not dated by year. Meaning you can re-use this calendar for years and keep it as a birthday tracker. For instance, my birthday would be on February 1st, so you can write down my name there! You can get one here in my shop.
Pro-tip: use a pencil if you are not sure about committing to writing down a name on a date line yet. And if you wanna go full Dutch mode: hang it up on the inside of the toilet door, that way you can't miss anyone's birthday!
