I changed my mind. The End of Gameplay is amazing, actually. And correct about everything it criticizes! Strong Game of the Year 2025 contender imo.

I just finished playing droqen (of Starseed Pilgrim fame)'s new art piece, "The End of Gameplay." It was okay. I vibe with droqen's ideas on the subject of killing gameplay, but I honestly didn't enjoy his game as much as I enjoyed the following section of a tweet thread he made clarifying his thoughts on the subject:
