Am I losing it, because I have no recollection of the volleyball plot line in the books. Even season 1, I don't remember her being so die hard about volleyball itself, I thought the focus was more on winning the tournament for Susannah's charity.

Am I missing something?

I feel like they're just shoehorning it in to show Belly is her own girl and not just the Fisher flip-flopper (like how Taylor says "I'm nobody's girl but my own"), but putting these clips of Conrad setting up her bedroom and Jeremiah cheering her on kind of detracts from that, no?
