1-2 killerpanda: I've been better lately. They put me on abilify after rispirdome and the sensation hallucinations are almost gone. I've been hearing things though. Does anyone have experience with abilify and any worsening hallucinations? Rispirdome made the physical sensations worse but kept my headache away, now my headache is back and I'm hearing things more. Is this an okay side effect they can just attach another drug to take care of or should I ask to change completely again?
2-2 killerpanda: the Headache is something I've felt with for YEARS and I hadn't noticed it left on r. Now that it's back Im so aware and the voices/sounds I hear have gotten REALLY vivid, like sirens and doors creaking. I felt a part of me 'died' when I was switching meds and I still feel that me is 'dead' and I'm someone else but not someone else? I cant explain well. How can I bring up I think I have mild DID w/o sounding suspicious as hell I feel I sound untrustworthy when I talk bout probs
I’m really glad to hear that you’ve been feeling better, butI’m sorry that your medication has been causing some negative side effects! Allof this sounds pretty distressing, so I’m glad that you decided to message us.
Because everyone reacts to every single medicationdifferently, it’s hard to say whether this is common or not. Either way, Idefinitely recommend bringing this up with your doctor so they can figure outwhat would be best to do here. It could just be a matter of needing to adjustthe dosage of your current medication or they may want to either add anothermedicine to help with these side effects or try a different medicationaltogether. Overall, though, it’s totally okay to voice your opinion on whatyou would like to do. You’re the one who has to deal with the side effects, soyou should get a say in what happens.
When it comes to your thoughts about possibly having dissociativeidentity disorder, there’s nothing wrong with mentioning it to your doctor! Youcould probably just explain that you think you have DID, tell them what yoursymptoms are, and then see what they have to say. I personally don’t think youwould sound suspicious at all and your doctor should take these concernsseriously. I doubt you would be the first person with this kind of concern, sothey should be more than willing to hear you out.
I’m wishing you the best of luck! Let us know if you needanything and feel free to keep us updated on how you’re doing!
