STORYSHIFT: SOMETHING DIVERGENT

|| ACT 0: The Beginning. ||

* This is a tale where our human, Chara, in a Dustshift Timeline taking alternate paths to change the story in hopes of stopping the threat in its tracks.

* While sensing a different feeling than usual.. Despite it all..

* Will they be the finale for this tale.. Or will it be their definitive downfall?

* You'll just have to wait and see, Darling~

* I'll see you.. Very, very soon.. Chara.

In a distant past, two races ruled over the land of god.

HUMANS and MONSTERS.

One day, war had broke out between the two races..

After a arduous and difficult battle, the HUMANs were the victorious.

They had sealed the MONSTERs underground using a magic spell.

But you already knew that.

A HUMAN, falls onto the cave.. And had begun something no one expected. Thinking the human would be their salvation, they had begun doing the opposite of it all.

Slaughtering everything in it's sight with no Compassion in their SOUL.

It went by the name of "METTA".

It was by then, that the remaining population of monsterkind knew.. God had abandoned this world.

In a last struggle, the lone judge, "CHARA" tries to take it's stand against the HUMAN.

But again, and again.. They had failed.

Multiple times, "CHARA", had tried everything to stop the anomaly from its tracks, to the point to begin slaughtering monsters for LOVE.

But it still wasn't enough.

Many, many, RESETs later . .

This time, the anomaly, "METTA" could finally sense something had- changed.

The dialogue instantly cut before it could finish what it was saying.

As the strange dialogue ends abruptly..

You feel like something has changed in your game after this.

It's your 1000th time doing this all over again, right? You should have some fun too.

The title screen slowly makes a appearance on the pitch black screen.. Ready for you to play the game once more.

|| ACT 0.5: Ruins Of Unfortunate Souls ||

The human falls once more. They instantly get up after a short rest in the flower-bed.

M: Shall we get going? My patience runs thin.

M: We've got to continue.. This is what you've wanted after all, Darling~

As Metta leaves the flower bed, they head to the now destroyed and dusty Ruins. Papyrus is nowhere to greet you.. Like always.

The ground is full of Monster dust. But yet, they continue heading further in the Ruins. After killing some monsters left in the Ruins there they were. the other murderer stood in your way.

"CHARA", once again in Metta's path, holding a Froggit with their bare hand.

C - Welcome back, trashbag.

C - ...

Chara said nothing, before slicing the froggit's head in half with their knife, running away before Metta can catch up with them.

M: Darling, they got away.. This will be the last time i'll say this.

M: Do anything it takes to stop them from gaining the upper hand.

M: But worry not..

M: You'll still get another chance.

M: Don't disappoint me now.. My "Actor".

Metta leaves the area they were once in, Papyrus, still nowhere in sight. During all this time, they obtain the "Faded Tophat", alongside the "Toy Revolver". But however.. The Toy Revolver was obtained, in a half destroyed state, making it weaker.

It made no difference. METTA continues their path and prepare themselves.

The air gets more dense, to the point of making the entire enviroment blurry. As they reach the caretaker's house, they stepped in.. He was nowhere to be seen, but the destroyed home makes it clear something had happened.. Full of Vines and Knives, scattered across the walls.

Metta goes downstairs, seeing that same scene repeat once more.

P: SO, WHERE IS THIS "ANOMALY" YOU MENTIONED ME ABOUT, HUMAN?

C: ..Heh.

Chara left out a smirk, before getting ready to strike papyrus,

Metta prepares their half destroyed Toy Revolver, but it was too late to do anything.

C: ..Sorry.

C: But i have to do this.

Chara strikes papyrus, he is sliced down almost instantly by a singular Yet weak slash to the chest.. however, enough to strike them in one blow.

C: ..Im so sorry. Im sorry.. Im sorry.. Im sorry-

As METTA grew impatient.. They attempt to strike Chara when they are distracted, furious to the fact they killed the Caretaker before METTA once again.. But before they could land a strike..

3 Slashes appeared at the hall they were in, Striking METTA with them and knocking the human away, leaving them injured.

C: I.. I don't have time for your little games. I won't keep entertaining you for as of now.

C: I need to get stronger.. No matter what.

C: So.. Until then,

C: I hope you choke on that dust and die right here.

The screen flickers, Chara left the scene as the door to leave the RUINs was open. but some vines stood in their way, covered all over the door and place.. METTA slowly got back up, injured.

The air is slightly intoxicating as poison gas spread through the hall. METTA's HP slowly drops..

They didn't wait any longer and use one of their healing items.. A MONSTER CANDY was used.

METTA slowly regains their composure, slashing down the vines blocking the exit with their weapon. One slash was enough to deal with it despite the broken and weak toy revolver. They leave the room before the poison gas could spread further in the room..

Snowdin was next. Going further from this point on,

what awaits them.. Was just the beginning to everything.

Soo, I have been meaning to ask, are your Chara and Sans totally platonic or little romantic? Because they are so shippable lol

Well, in terms of the AU I leave it pretty vague so that people can view it either platonic or romantic. That way, nobody feels like it HAS to be a certain way, and everyone can have their own view on it, since they're very close whether it's platonic or not.

Personally though, I enjoy it being a romantic relationship and that's how I view it for my personal view of it.
