So today I got a chance to ride in the #Castelli San Remo Speedsuit (Road Suit) 2.0 with x2 air chamois #KillFLUO . They call this thing body paint and I will agree 100% with that statement. If you're not rollin' around at or close to race weight be prepared to think twice about that cheeseburger you scarfed down at lunch or those peanut M&Ms you snuck in after dinner cause it won't hide it. Which during race season is exactly what you want!! Nice aero pockets on the back that fit a case with tube and all gear I need as well as my cell and an open pocket for whatever you think you need to stash in there. I'm pretty picky when it comes to arm and leg bands but these are soooo comfy it feels like you were dipped in Lycra and it moves with you in every way. To say I am a fan of this kit would be an understatement. I will search kits from other rad people out there who used this format and have to scoop them up. The zipper fully unzips and comes apart for those super hot boyz of cycling sessions and for ease of entry. We've all done the skin suit contortionist wiggle dance in a park before a CX race trying to get a three size too small (who said anything about being a weight weenie) over your shoulders and zipped up. This one however went on and came off pretty smoothly! It was overcast and a slight sprinkle this morning so I rocked a mesh Rapha base layer under it because Themis version is pretty "see through" for cooling your core down when your ripping up the cross course or bombing corners during a crit. I wore the kit for approx 3 hours and was never uncomfortable in it on or off the bike. It moves with you. It breathes. And thanks to Christy you look like a million bucks rolling down the street when you wear it. Got a few compliments and thumbs up rolling the usual route this morning while sporting my new digs. A major huge awesome thanks goes out to Start Walker for making these kits happen again (@starrwalker). Next "team" I am a part of these will def have to be the kit we get!
