Adventures with KW!

So yesterday, I received... [drumroll please!]... A Package!

Now, I knew this package was winging its way to me, because @killianmesmalls let me know to expect it... but I didn’t know what was inside of it.

So I carefully opened it and peeked inside to see...

Handcuffs.

Because I’m me, I immediately broke into uproarious laughter, because I mean, shit, that’s fucking hilarious. Like, I don’t even need to look any further into the package - I am already completely and thoroughly amused XD

But! I reached in and pulled them out. Yup. Handcuffs. Haha :D

There was also an envelope, and I expected the contents of said envelope might explain WHY I’d been sent a pair of handcuffs - although, to be honest, I kinda figured an explanation wasn’t really necessary. I mean, I’m me. Why wouldn’t someone send me handcuffs in the mail? XD

So I opened the envelope and there was a nice sparkly card inside... but sort of clipped to the envelope’s inner edge was a set of handcuff keys.

Oh, yeah! Keys. I was so busy laughing at the random handcuffs-o-gram that I totally forgot there should’ve been keys in there. Well, there they were, with a nice little white tag on them that some nerd had scribbled on.

GODS ABOVE, I LOVE THAT NERD THO T_T <3

So now I’m having a full-on seizure in my living room, because I’ve been sent a pair of handcuffs in the mail, which is still fucking hilarious, but now I’ve also been sent a Colin autograph, which is fucking amaaaazing.

(For anyone concerned, I have been assured that Colin was not accosted with an actual pair of handcuffs at the convention. He simply signed the tag, which was then attached to the keys - so there was no potentially awkward moments for our precious little peanut ;))

So, of course, I read the card, which lets me know this wonderful (and truly hilarious) gift is from my dearest friends @killianmesmalls and @queen-mabs-revenge and “all [my] NJ friends” - which finally explains why so many of you were giggling at me and refusing to tell me why after the NJ convention XD

OHHHHHH MY GOSH, YOU GUUUUUUUUUYS <3

This is such a thoughtful and wonderful and silly and hilarious gift. I really cannot thank you two enough (and all of the rest of you who helped or took part or even just pointed at me and went “HA HA!” in my message window, because that added to the fun, too). Thank you SO much for thinking of me, for doing this for me, and for being such amazing and wonderful friends to me <3 You guys make me laugh and smile every day and I am so very grateful for you!

Thank you for blessing me with your friendship AND this awesome gift!!!

A Wonderful Life by @killianmesmalls

She took a deep breath, letting all the sounds and smells around them wash over her. Water lapped rhythmically around Killian’s houseboat while George Bailey danced the Charleston on TV. Warm bread, nutmeg-scented sweet potato casserole, and a glazed ham sat on the table, tantalizing her senses. Home, she realized. It all just felt so much like home.

Merry Christmas! This is part 1 of your gifts for @knightrooksecretsanta I really love this fic you wrote last year, it’s so sweet and comforting and just feels like Christmas, not to mention it just fits these three so well so when I was thinking of what to make for you this is one of the first things I wanted to do. I actually couldn’t decide between this one and a gifset so I have made both! I’ll be posting that one tomorrow. Hope you like it!

Summary: Continuation of “It All Comes Crumbling Down” But in Alice’s POV.

Prompt: I demand a sequel to this from Alice’s POV. She starts to realize just how large this tower is without her Papa!

(( @theonceoverthinker and @killianmesmalls I love and hate you both so much right now… i’m supposed to be writing other things, but now my muse is in this perpetual funk of feels (I DID THIS TO MYSELF!!)… I don’t think my time-out sentence from the last one made me learn anything… Side note: at least my muse is on a role, you lucky people get two one-shots from me today…))

And the Flames Consume Us All

“Papa!”

Little Alice screamed out her heartache; fat tears rolling down her cheeks and blurring the image of her father doubled over with pain. She inched forward to run to him, but the moment she took that step, his howls of agony grew in intensity.

Gothel cackled from the sidelines.

“What have you done?!” Alice yelled, glaring hatefully at the stranger despite feeling utterly terrified.

“That is my own business, not yours.” Gothel answered as she moved to circle around Alice.

Alice tensed up, her face and body threatening to betray her bravery as she feared what the woman would do next; her eyes shifting from her papa—still writhing on the floor—to the evil witch so rapidly that she felt dizzy.

And then in a blink, they both were gone. Disappearing from the tower and leaving Alice in a stunned stupor.

“Papa?” she choked out; standing stone still and staring at the place her papa had once been. “Papa?!” she called again, louder as she finally pivoted to look around the tower. “Papa! I don’t want to play hide and seek!” she cried out; in complete denial of what had just transpired and hoping that her papa was simply playing a trick on her.

Only she was the mischief maker.

Papa would never do that to her.

“Papa!” she wailed, racing for the window and banging against the barrier keeping her trapped.

“PAPA!”

Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to a month.

And Alice struggled living a life in the tower alone.

The chess set she, and her papa, adored had been shoved haphazardly into her old toy chest; the board and its pieces only serving as a painful reminder that he was no longer here with her.

Everything in the tower reminded her of her papa. From the lingering scent on his sheets, to the furniture he had created for them.

Everything, down to the very last jar filled with his homemade marmalade, reminded her of him.

There was just no escaping it, and it tore at her.

This was supposed to be there home. Her papa had worked so hard to make it theirs; filling it with the wonders of the world through knick-knacks and books, and displaying the pictures she drew for him proudly along the walls. It was lived in and slightly chaotic, and despite being trapped; the tower had truly felt like home rather than a prison.  

So long as her papa was with her, she hadn’t needed her freedom.

The tower no longer felt crammed and safe and cozy. It felt more like a cavern now; dark and dangerous and cold.

She wanted her papa to come back…

… And then he came.

May be perceived a little sassy, but I kinda want Colin to have a moment where he doesn't have to audition for a show, they just pick him. I like JMO, don't get me wrong, but those times during a convention when people would ask them both how they got their roles and she said she was given hers while he said he had to audition for it (understandable, she was well-known enough and he was new) have me really wishing for him to have the chance to say the same one day. —KMS (but this is a sideblog)

Oh, I get you totally. And you know, that’s not entirely out of the question. If you ask me, a couple of these roles seem practically tailor-made for Colin, and while that may not necessarily be the case, he might still be someone the producers of the shows have in mind. So we might still end up finding out he’s been offered something. And I totally agree, it would be great if he WAS offered.

...but he still has to decide if he wants to take the offer or go for something else entirely. Unfortunately, with how closely packed pilot season is and with ALL the networks working on the same thing at once, actors basically have to pick ONE project out of all of them... and hope for the best. If it doesn’t get picked up, they’ve wasted the entire season and have nothing to show for it.

Honestly, this sounds like the world’s most stressful crapshoot to me D:

How old are you: 20, though I still think I’m about 16.

Surgeries: None yet, but I do have a wisdom tooth surgery coming up soon.

Tattoos: None. And plan on keeping it that way.

Ever hit a deer: No and hoping it stays that way.

Sang karaoke: No. 😞 Which is a shame cause I love to sing along with songs

Ice skated: Yes, took lessons when I was younger, though I haven’t done it since!

Ridden a motorcycle: Dear god, no. I am terrified of them.

Ridden in an ambulance: Nope

Skipped school: Not in college. And I think in high school, my parents had me stay home when it snowed too much and school was still open.

Stayed in the hospital: I have vague memories of being in the hospital when I was a kid. And when I was an infant, I got pretty sick.

Broken bone: No, thankfully not. With my track record for getting injured, it’s a miracle!

Last phone call: I called one of my friends to figure out our movie plans... Does that count?

Last text from: My best friend, still have to reply to her.

Watched someone die: No, thank god.

Pepsi or coke: I don’t ever know the difference, so I’m going to say coke? I call all soda coke, though, and I have been drinking less of it.

Favourite pie: Apple, I guess. That’s the only one I can actually remember eating at this point.

Favourite pizza: Not a big fan of it anymore, but plain is always good. I liked the banana pepper and black olives as toppings.

Received a ticket: No.

Favourite colour: Blue, all shades. Though every color has shades that I really like.

Sunset or sunrise: Sunset? Both are beautiful, but I see more sunsets.

Favourite Christmas song: Don’t listen to much Christmas music, so no idea..

Cupcakes or cookies: I’m choosing both because I can. I just love sweets!
