#killing a mouse

Ok I know it's late but do any of you know how to properly get rid of a mouse? We can't use poison because it might die in the walls and my mom doesn't want to use glue traps.

We've set up simple mouse traps that just kill them by breaking there backs and or neck but that's about it.

Any suggestions? It keeps me up at night when it crawls above my bed.
