Finally saw Killjoys Ep 7!

I’m slowly catching up!

I only cried like 2-3 times this episode so that’s a step up from last time when I cried like the whole time!!!

Some commentary:

More episodes this weekend I’m hype I’m hype!! Once I get caught up I think ima rewatch the whole thing again... at least this season, but possibly just the whole show??? Y’know... bc I’m obsessive and Killjoys still feels like home??

[initial reactions] Killjoys 4x07 - O Mother, Where Art Thou

Now that is what I’m talking about!

I think I get the pattern now: After more ensemble episodes and some other character-centric episodes, we get a Dutch-centric episode. And what an episode!

We get more mytharc, in the form of Hullen and Aneela backstory and we get to see Aneela’s mother! Yalena!

Yes, Khylen named Dutch after his ex-wife.

Yalena was a gods damned Queen in her own right who loved Aneela fiercely and her single order to Khlyen to find a way to save Aneela from the Lady which started the ball rolling for the current events we have now.

Khylen might have trained Dutch, but her fierce independence, her sass and her ability to hold on was something she got from Yalena. And it was so great to see, she’s like a more honorable Kendry and Pawter mixed with a healthy dose of Dutch!

Other awesome things:

WIDGE! Pree and Gared are his guys! Goddammit!

Turin is now the new den mother of newly good Hullen and his new Killjoy flock!

Pree beating up the people bullying Gared was amazing.

The Lucy and Johnny show!

And of course, at the end, Johnny choosing Dutch any day because their family.

Dutch, finally getting her anger back after the trauma with the Lady was amazing, but also Yalena’s warning to her clone/dream Daughter that holding on to anger too tightly can also hurt Dutch in the end.

Yalena and Khlyen were cute but present-Khylen is still a bastard.

I’m so happy Dutch called Aneela family and Yalena too!

#killjoysedit #killjoys #johnny jaqobis #dutch #aaron ashmore #hannah john kamen #killjoys spoilers #killjoys 4x07 #the interplay there ;_;#he was saying it to her and d'av and saying to d'av *for* her #my fave duo #he gets her like no one else does #so I LOVED this ep!#my issues about delle seyah aren't so much about her place in the story but her place in her child's life #but this ep wasn't about jaq so no issues with her absence #so much was revealed and it was so intense #if anything johnny felt a little underused but it was truly a khlyen-yalena-aneela-dutch ep #I'm usually thrown by a lot of flashbacks but this used them perfectly #and all the revelations and histories and interplays between dynamics #I hope that wasn't the signing of aneela's death warrant :x #usually when a character's in danger for a season the point is to save them but yalena getting that promise from dutch D:#and I liked the acknowledgment that dutch's been a bit on the back foot recently #even here she seems different from usual #since she found out about aneela and came out of the green she's been more unsure of herself #but I guess she's finally on her way back #also I loved her hair like this #she looked super pretty this ep + we continue to get shots of her arms #no complaints from me at allll
