It's that time of day where I'm tired from work and I'm overthinking about hot ladies

So, in 5x10 where Aneela is a little self conscious about wearing her mother's jacket/dress and then Kendry is right there to validate her??? Fucking ROMANCE right there ladz!!!! POWER NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE

And then the difference between Aneela when she's being made fun of for her dress vs when Kendry commands them to kneel after they find out she's hullen. Just the way she closed her eyes and smiles... That's the sweet sweet satisfaction of putting people in their place. AND THEN her head held high and chest puffed out when Kendry asks if they like her dress now!!!!! HJK really gave us such a nuanced performance!!!!!

And we cannot forget about Mayko's A+++ performance. The dress with the high collar, her hair in that brilliant updo, and her resting/intentional bitch face? Fuck me dead, I could go on and on about that forever...

And the both of them together, the powerhouse that is Green Queens. Hhhhhhhhhhhhh hot ladies who stan each other and are morally grey (but not really because they've both done terrible things but they're being better for their son and to stop the Lady so that counts as good morals, right??)

I just miss them so much 😭

[initial reactions] Killjoys - Last Dance

I WILL TOO, DUTCH!

It’s very much a farewell episode that’s more of a coda/epilogue than the ending, the real ending was the whole family coming together and when Dutch and Aneela reunited. 

Everyone gets their happy ending and I love it! Also, damn, anyone that even so much as gives Jaq a broken arm and Aneela will come down on them like a terrifying mama bear and her proposal to Kendry was sweet. She wants to spend eternity with Kendry but only if Kendry wants to. 

Aneela learning agency is amazing. 

(Oh boy though, them as immortal empresses together though -- someone should always hold the Kin Rit-Kendry’s accountable). 

Pree becoming Lord Governor of Westerley and Gared being so proud of his husband! 

Dutch fully confronting human Khlyen: “Stop hurting me to save me!” 

Dutch sparing the Lady because she is Human now, and glommed on to Khlyen, another sister Dutch has and can maybe help reform now that she has a chance to change. Dutch giving her the red box, using that box in the opposite purpose that Khlyen used it, instead of teaching the Lady to kill, she’s teaching the Lady to care. 

(BTW Khlyen better be on his way to get Yalena from that eternal sleep!) 

Johnny and Dutch’s almost goodbye before their one last hunt but also, Johnny looking for Clara! My other ship for Johnny. 

And the show ending with Dutch in the lead, Johnny and D’avin beside her.

I’m going to miss you too, Dutch. So damned much. 

(One nitpick though -- I think they resolved things a little too nicely with bringing Pip back, which okay I know happy fantasy! But I feel like Pip's sacrifice and Zeph's grief were powerful things this season, especially for Zeph. I guess I am a bit narratively underwhelmed there.

 I wonder if... 10 episodes were too much? Or too little? Because I feel like the emotional satisfaction for me was when the Dutch-Johnny. Then again, Aneela and Kendry's scenes this episode was worth it too and I won’t change it for the world!). 

Michelle Lovretta has definitely earned my trust and I will follow her everywhere.
