First bisque fire of 2025 is a GO (well, technically it's still slooooowly preheating b/c the garage was just above freezing due to the cold snap we've been having & I didn't want to ramp the heat up too quickly, but)!
Here are the other two shelves (turns out making a zillion little glaze testers means you also have to...load said testers into the kiln?? Nobody warned me about this & that's very rude):
Love that the silly flatfish faces will be the first thing I see when I open the kiln back up tomorrow <3
In other news, found my new favourite pear name* & ate one for breakfast. Pls welcome Ya Pear (Poire Ya!)
(It isn't my favourite flavour of Asian pear - that belongs to a giant round version that was labelled Korean Pear at my local Asian grocery store, but it is very good! Nice refreshing crunch & vague pineapple tinge to the flesh!)
