oh my gOsh that’s a hard one. there are so many i love and i don’t know if i have an all-time faWAIT YES I DO

it’s nothing special since i don’t care a whole lot, but here it is anyway!

Favorite character: SPINEL. my god i love spinel. she’s so much fun and she’s such a cutie. everything about her makes me happy... now i’m listening to one of her songs and i’m smiling all over again

Second favorite character: tbh? the early portrayals of rose quartz. rose was my favorite character early on in the show because she had the “mysterious tall woman” vibe i seem to be naturally drawn to. even now i hold that particular image of her very close to my heart, regardless of the uncomfortable (and quite frankly ugly) reveals that came later.

Least favorite character: i think most of the offensive stereotypes the show has don’t deserve to be called characters without some extensive rewriting (not to mention the absolute travesty that is the diamonds), so excluding those, i probably have to say ronaldo? lars was pretty awful for a while too.

The character I’m most like: well, i kin pink pearl/volleyball, so i’d have to say her. but i can’t meditate on why too much without thinking about my trauma, so... i’ll just tell you that back when i was first watching SU, it was lapis i related to the most! her character in the later seasons put me off big-time, though.

Favorite pairing: SPINEL AND PINK PEARL... actually spinel/pearl/pink pearl is a good ot3. also rupphire!!! and anything involving bismuth because she’s an angel!!!

Least favorite pairing: aside from the obvious ones (jasper/lapis, steven with any of the gems), uh... lars and sadie is pretty garbage, haha. that feels like an easy response to give.

Favorite moment: the scene of greg attempting to fuse with rose in “we need to talk.” that’s my favorite episode and the ensuing conversation never fails to make me emotional.

Rating out of 10: OOF uh... well. i’d argue that early SU was like 9/10 but it’s definitely dropped over time. still holds some good stuff, but it’s also so filled with gross shit that i don’t feel comfortable giving it a rating at all. there are so many wonderful concepts here, but they’re so frequently stomped out by bad writing choices and flimsy characterization and Wow that’s a lot of racism. so. yeah. N/A for the rating.

4: one chance

  "I--I wish--ah, I--um--"  The words tumbled forth from her mouth with no cohesion. Cheelye stuttered and struggled, her legs shaking as she clutched the Dragon Balls against her chest, cold air biting into her face as she tried with unmatched desperation to state her wish.  But the wish never came. As much as she tried to speak, she was no match for the howl of the wind, no match for the sounds of violence all around her, no match for the grisly scene unfolding before her. Her eyes watered. This was all wrong.  A screech tore through the wintry battlefield and she stumbled, Dragon Balls falling all around her as she fell. She landed in a nest of wishes she could've granted, if only she'd spoken up a moment sooner. If only she'd remembered what to say in the face of Shen Long, who still floated above her and radiated glory and awe.  If only.  But Cheelye hadn't stated her wish, despite how hard she'd tried. She was too late to do anything now, and she could do little more than watch as the world around her exploded into furious light.  She shut her eyes in avoidance of her mistake. Her cheeks were warmed by fresh tears--tears she hadn't shed in who-knows-how-long--as she lay splayed out on the ground. Brilliant flashes erupted from somewhere beyond her eyelids. She didn't care to look. She heard Lemo scream from nearby and didn't care to reply.  Because when she opened her eyes again, just a few moments later, she saw a bloody pelt half-buried in the snow and she knew.  She saw that mysterious fusion, his energy so vast and pulsating it made her head pound, standing over the remains of her friend. And she knew.  Her body seized up. She breathed through clenched teeth, gazed at the mighty dragon who flew overhead, and cried out.  "G...Give me another chance!"  And the dragon nodded its massive head in understanding, and Gogeta's eyes went wide in understanding, and Cheelye smiled bitterly in understanding.One more chance.  Everything faded to white.

16. Favorite Lifetime suit?

idk why the meme said hell suits when it meant lifetime lol. Anyway. i don’t really have a favorite because as much as i love the upcoming Ruin suit (see here) it feels a little... “typical” for Ruin? still rad but not the best. Grice isn’t my fav either because she costs diamonds so even though i only have one part left to go i’ll never complete her 😭 um. the Wasteland suit that’s coming soon looks INCREDIBLE so maybe that one! or Minstrel of Time/White Night Chant cuz they’re a lovely pair 💕

17. Favorite Nightmare suit?

i’ve never heard this terminology before and i kinda love it. i’m not sure what constitutes a nightmare suit tho—is it one that requires you to have another crafted first? because what jumps to mind for me is Flower Song in Fan. i also like NR-001 and Black Rose but i don’t think i’ll ever complete the latter, since it costs like 4k diamonds 😰 not worth it

19. Favorite Crystal Rose suit?

Blue Longing is great, but my fav is Stormy Melody ❤️
