2.12 The Drop In
Episode:
• I don’t remember this episode lol, at least not off the top of my head
• everytime Leo and Mrs. Landingham have a scene together, I get sad beccause they both die in the show and they’re both dead in real life 🙃
• “Were you born at the age of 55?”
• “We missed it by 137 miles?”
lmao the way Leo delivers that line kills me
• “Guys, I study these things just for you.”
Lol poor CJ
• “22,000 fewer respiratory related hospital admissions.”
.....aaaaHHHHH!!!
• no one in this administration knows what a lynx is. Josh thought it was a goddamn golf course I cannot
• “Why’d you ask him and not me?”
“He looked in charge.”
“Of where I go?”
• “I’m victim to my own purity of character.”
“Whatever.”
• Margaret’s “thank you” from outside Leo’s office after Marbury says she’s looking “positively buxom” lkdjsaj
• Toby just saved Sam from going into the Oval and doing what Josh did in Noël: losing his temper on the President. However, that was a dick move by Toby not to tell Sam about the drop in. I know he was just trying to redeem himself from the screw up with Ann Stark in the Leadership breakfast, but still.
• yeah I feel like there’s a reason I didn’t remember a whole lot about this episode. Not a lot that stood out. There’s funny lines, but the plot itself is meh.
Podcast:
• guest star: Kim Webster (Ginger)
• Lord John wouldn’t be called Lord John. He would be called Lord Marbury, or according to some British dude named Edward, he wouldnt be referred to with his surname, but instead The Marquees of Needham and Dolby, since that is his rank. That is hella confusing
• Ironically, Sam finds out about Toby’s dishonesty about the drop in with the line “friends are honest with each other.”
• Kim was originally a stand in. After she left the sound stage for S1E3, she was rushed back in and overheard Aaron say she had a speaking line.
At the cast read through for the episode The Crackpots and These Women, Elisabeth Moss, who just been casted as Zoey was unable to make the read through, so Aaron asked Kim if she could read Elisabeth’s part.
“And I was like, oh my god I’m gonna throw up.”
“So I tried, I tried to hide in the back of the room as the read-through started, and Aaron saw me and like motioned for me to come over and then I had to sit in between him and Tommy Schlamme and I’m looking across the room at John Wells, Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe, the whole cast, everybody. And I’m like I’m gonna die. Today I’m gonna die of embarrassment.” (I would’ve passed out tbh.)
• she ended up playing/reading the role of Zoey completely different than how Elisabeth Moss played her, and afterwards people came up and complimented her. Aaron brought her back to read for other characters and she felt it was like a lowkey audition process. She then went back to being an extra/stand in, and then Aaron one day asked her “did I give your character a name?” and she went “I have a character?”
• oh my god I wasn’t expecting her to cry!! Kim!!
• this show really touched everyone huh 🤧
• “I stay indoors mostly. I avoid people.”
