Next Door

Characters: Leedo x Reader Genre: Drama

(This prompt was given by my Beta.)

Description: Kim Geonhak, a quiet guy who lives next door to you is hardly seen during day or night until he comes to your rescue one night after your ex-boyfriend attack you in your own house.

[Warning: This chapter contain slightly strong language, depictions of violence, disturbing content that may not be suitable and upsetting for some readers.]

It has been a few months since you had a new neighbour. It is not the common for people to rent and certainly not a safe place to rent but you actually have no choice. This place was the nearest to public transport facilities and it make easier for you to reach your work place early.

You only saw him once while he was loading all his stuffs in his house with his friends. You were tired and when you arrived, your way were blocked by a few boxes in front of your door. You were quite lost and does not know what to do at the moment because all you could think is get inside and land on the couch. Your back is hurting you badly. Before you could come back to your sense, a man greet you.

He is gorgeous. His hair was not short and not long either. It was a really a nice cut. Though it was midnight, you could see his hair color with the corridor’s lights. It was dark green with a few streaks of grey highlight. His body was well built too and you could not help but staring at his toned chest. Flustered, you bow back. “Are these yours?”, you asks and he nods.

“I’m sorry. I’ll move it really quick.”, he add before you could say anything. He called his friends to help him with the boxes in front of your door because they were blocking your way. Two of his friends quickly came and apologise you for the inconvenience. Well, if everyone in this world are like this would it be great? , you thought. As soon as they cleared the boxes, he introduced himself and so you did.

However, you never see him again but you know he is still living next to your door. He went out early in the morning and when you came back home, he was probably already home. You reached home every day around midnight which is actually very exhausting but you have no choice.

You are quite happy that you got off work early because most of your works are all done so you head home to cook dinner and accidentally had extra dinner but you are sure that you could not finish it in a day or two even you keep heating it up. So you decided to pack it nicely in a container along with a few side dishes that you mother made for you. They were your favourite.

When you done, you brought it to next door. You ring his bell but no one answer it. So you decided to leave it by the door. You went back into your house and make a note before sliding down under his door. The next day, the container was no where to be found in front of his door and sigh in relief knowing that he already took the food you left for him. I hope the food is still good when he took it, you thought.

You went out quite early today and to your luck his door unlock and reveal the gorgeous man. “Good morning, Mr. Kim Geonhak.”, you greet him. He was surprise when you greet him but he reply you back anyways. Before you could initiate another conversation he walk away, seems rushing. You look at your watch on you wrist and it was almost eight in the morning.

“It was still early. Why is he so rushing…?”, you wonder to yourself.

It has been a few day you went out early in the morning and almost everyday you bumped into him and greets him. He replied you as usual but that just it. He did not seems to initiate anymore conversation so you just brush it off. Well, at least he reply to your morning greetings.

You are not feeling well and decided to take a rest for the day. That night, you went to the nearby convenience store to buy some foods because you were lazy to cook. While you were walking towards your home, someone yanked you away from the street which made you accidentally shout out of surprise. The bag which is full of your foods drops on the ground but you could not care. Seems like your life is in danger now.

The person then covered your mouth, trying muffle down your voice but you were freaking out and bite his palm.

He reeks of alcohol.

The person hissed because of the pain and let you go. “Bitch, that hurt as fuck.”, he said.

You recognised that voice and when you were about to run away the man pull you again. It was your abusive ex-boyfriend.

“If you shout again, I’ll beat you up.”, he said as he pushed you against the wall in the alley.

“What do you want?”, you bravely ask him though you were scared of him. You should not be scared of him anymore. He is no one and he cannot hurt you anymore. He can’t hurt me anymore, you told yourself. You tried to push him away from you but he was too strong.

“Stop it!”, he said and slammed your back onto the wall and slapped your face. The slap hurt so much and it stings. You could taste a little blood in your mouth and as you faced him to slap him back, his hand was already reach your chin. “Didn’t I tell you to not run away from me? How dare you!”, he brought it closer to his face.

“Fuck off!”, you kicked his shin and he dropped on the floor because of the pain. As he let go of you, you quickly run away towards your home. However, he was quick on his feet. When you turn around he was almost half way to you.

Quickly, you ran upstairs to your door and unlock the door. As soon as you open the door, someone pushed you inside which made you tripped and bump onto your flower pot. It made a loud crash. Before you could processes what was happening, you fell something blunt hit you on the head and drop on the floor.

Geonhak was washing the dishes as he heard the next door key lock beep. He look at the time on the wall it was almost midnight and shook his head. It was late and dangerous for a woman like you to come home.

Every morning he went out early to jog around the town and came home past working hours. By the time, he knew you already went to work. He work too but he barely have to step out from the house. Most of his works required him to work from home which is he is thankful for. He just need to be in the studio once in a while. At least, he has his basic equipments that he needs.

He choose to rent in this neighbourhood because it is unnecessary loud like the big city. It was not quiet but it was not loud which is just nice.

He still could not forget the day he move in next to your house. Normally, people would upset and annoyed to come home with a few boxes blocking your way after a tiring day at work but you are not. From the way you stood and the way your eyes look, he knew you were tired but you were still polite. Like, the way you asks about those boxes that were blocking your way.

“She shouldn’t be home that late.”, Geonhak sigh as he rinse his dishes before putting it aside to wipe it dry. He was about to switch off the light in the kitchen area then he heard something crash coming from your house. He tried to shake it off, maybe she accidentally drop something. Then, he heard a loud thump on the wall before he heard your scream. Quickly, he unlock the door and went straight to your door. Thank goodness the door was unlock.

As he entered the house, he saw a few drops of blood at the entrance and some of the blood smeared on the wall. He saw the crashed flower pot on the floor and quickly running inside without any thought. There, he saw a man on top of you who were lying on the ground. He was chocking you as you were struggling to escape from his grip.

“You piece of shit!”, Geonhak shout which made the man startled because of the sudden presence.

"Who the fu-", Before the man could even stand up to attack him, Geonhak launched a punch on his face which made him stumble a few steps back. “Pick your own size, fucker.”, his low and deep voice made it a lot scarier for the man but he refuse to back off.

He made his way towards Geonhak in an attempt to attack him again but failed when Geonhak managed to block his punch. Geonhak grabbed the same arm that the man use to throw a punch and make a twist before throwing him on the floor. The man groaned in pain.

Seeing the man laid on the floor in pain because of his act previously, Geonhak grabbed him by the collar off his shirt and throw some punches on his face. The man was beaten badly and he could barely open his eyes. Geonhak really did him some numbers. The man probably ended up with a broken nose too.

Slowly, Geonhak stood up and made his way towards you who where crying in the corner, scared for your life. He approached and crouched at your level and still mind the gap between you and him, to make you feel comfortable and less terrified.

His deep and low voice turns into a husky one as he call for your name. You did not respond to him and he try again a few time, did not forget to mention his name too, just in case. Slowly you lift up your face and you saw him in front of you. He was close to you and he was being careful. Trying to not freak you out.

He saw a few cuts and bruises on your pretty face. Before he could reach out, you throw yourself on him, hugging him. For once, you feel save in a man arms. As for now you could careless what he think about you, you just need to feel safe at the moment.

Geonhak was surprise with the sudden hug but he did not complain. To your surprise, he wrapped his arms around you too, it made you calm down. His palm went up and down on your back.

“Everything is okay now.”, Geonhak trying to assure you and he could feel that you nods on his chest. Not letting you go, he took out his phone in his pocket and dial 119.

You were hospitalised for a few days and Geonhak never fail to visit you.

“You’re not working today?”, you asks on the first day he visited you in the hospital. It was afternoon and you are quite sure he should be working right now because it was not even lunch time yet.

“My time of working is flexible, no worries.”, he smiles. He look more beautiful when he smile like that. “I worked from home anyways. Just need to went out a few times.”, he added and you nods.

The doctor delivered you a good news. You can be discharge today. You were done changing into your own clothes and slowly tidying some of your stuffs on the bedside desk. You had no choice but to move slowly because your body still aches from the incident.

As for your ex-boyfriend, he was was arrested. That is all you wanted to know and it is all matter. Thank goodness that no legal action are taken against Geonhak because it was basically a self defence though he did give your ex-boyfriend a few bruises.

“Why don’t you wait for me?”, the familiar deep voice startled you and made you jump a bit. “Oh, sorry.”, he smile sheepishly.

“Ready to go home?”, he asked and you nods. He took the bag that had a few of your stuffs from your hand. It was not heavy at all but he insisted on carrying it for you.

“I think you should stay in my house for a few days.”, he said. You gave him a look, wondering why. “Your house was a mess with the bloods all over the place. I don’t think it’s a good idea.”, he add.

“It’s okay, I can clean it up.”

“Like this?”, he scoffs. “You should rest. Me and my friend would clean it all up. Just tell us the do’s and don’ts.”

“There’s nothing much.”, you said. Both of you was silent until you both reach his house. As soon as he closed the door, you turn around and faced him.

“Why?”, he asks.

“Thank you so much.”, you smiles. “You save my life.”, you added.

“You’re welcome.”, he shyly smiles back at you.

Leedo and you went for an extreme dates pls 😍

Rock Climbing

Characters: Leedo x Reader Genre: Fluff

[So I forgot to add this in my previous one-shot]

Description: Leedo want to do something different with you for a date and decided to do some activities in the extreme sports centre. 

You look at yourself in the mirror as you fixed your tracksuit. Your boyfriend had plan an unknown activities for both of you. Hanging out in cinema and shopping mall are a bit unhealthy which you kinda agree but not in the same time. Leedo has been suggesting some activities to do on dates which you found it very interesting.

Honestly, you are not an active person. You like staying home and watch movies, went to the cinema or window shopping. Basically you like doing relaxing things. Unlike your boyfriend who like to work out and doing some extreme sports. 

The two extreme things you had ever done so far was dating Leedo and learning hapkido which Leedo insist you to learn. You agreed since he was teaching you.

Before you could grab your duffle bag, your phone rang and you quickly answer it.

“Are you ready?”, it was your boyfriend. Quickly, you grabbed the key and walked out from your house. 

“Yeah. I’m coming down now.”, you answered before ending the call.

He checked on you as soon as you enters his car and giggles at the sight. You gave him a look before asking, “What’s wrong?”.

“Just when have you ever not being hot?”, he answers. You chuckles along with him, feeling great every time you were with him. He would always encourage you and hype you up whenever you did something. He said he did that to encourage you to be more active since you are a passive person. 

There was one time you followed him to the gym and you posted your activities in social media, almost all of your friends were surprises that you were actually being active, like—finally living a healthy life.

“Thank you.”, you said. He held your hand right after he starts his engines and went straight to the place he had in mind. 

Honestly, you had no idea what kind activities he had in his mind but you assume that you both would go to the gym, again which you always does. It was a different activities and training every single time, thanks to him.

“This is not the way to the gym.”, you said as soon as he drive pass the junction to the gym. He laughed at your confusion.

“I didn’t say we are going to the gym? Are you missing gym that much?”, he laughed again. You gave him the what-do-you-mean look and he chuckles. “I only told you to wear something sporty. It’s a surprise. You’ll know when we arrive.”, he added.

You said nothing after that. The ride was calm but not the silent calm. You both jamming to your choices of songs and he honestly have no complain on your taste because you both actually have the same taste of music.

“Did I somehow offend you?”, you asks Leedo as soon as you arrived at the place where he had plan to bring you. It was the indoor rock and wall climbing centre. You gawked at him as soon as you both arrived and mentally chokes him in your head.

“It wasn’t that bad.”, he said as he drag you inside of the centre after he registered and made the payment. There are a few level of wall climbing and you lowkey want to go to the kids section but you are sure Leedo would not allow for such things happen. 

There’s only one thing that Leedo does not know about. You are actually scared of height. Well, not severe but you are scared of height. You want to tell him but he looks very excited about it and you ended up not telling him.

You reached to the most extreme indoor rock climbing section in the centre and look around. There are actually not much people but there are a few people in the area. People who like extreme stuffs like Leedo. You put down your bag at the corner of the space with Leedo and could only look up to the top of the wall in defeat.

Man, that is really high. You thought.

Meanwhile, Leedo had no idea that you are silently freaking out. The staff handed him the safety equipment and quickly put it on you before putting it on himself.

“I’ll climb first and I’ll teach you right after.”, he said as he made his way to the wall. His muscles flex every time he try to reach another stone on the wall. He even jumped on another stone to make it easier for him to move. It look so easy, you thought.

“Do I really have to jump like that?”, you whispered to yourself. As you keep wondering if your arms are strong enough to climb up and you are making your own calculations on how to climb it properly so you would not fall down. You were so deep in thought that you did not realised that Leedo had finally came down.

“Now, I’ll teach you the basic. After that, I’ll let you go up there.”, he said, pointing up to the top of the wall. You did focus on his explanation but you were more focus on his arms muscles.

He called you name and made you came back to your sense. “Focus.”, he chuckles which made you blush out of embarrassment. “We can check that out later.”, he laughed before slowly pushed you near to the wall.

You take a deep breath and dip your hand into the chalk which was put on the side of your waist. Thank goodness this exist or I might slip to death, you thought as you begin. 

“I can do this!”, you cheered yourself up as you slowly made your way up. 

“Fighting!”, Leedo never forget to cheer you up too.

There is one part of the stone on the wall was a bit hard for you. It was your mistake, you should not stepped on the big stone. It was a trap, you mentally facepalming yourself. 

Because of that, you had to went a few stones down and your hand almost slip off which made you let out a screams. The screams caught Leedo's attention who was watching you from the ground.

“Why? Why? Why?”, he loudly asks out of worry and went closer to the wall. 

“My hand almost slip!”, you scream back at him. 

From the moment you reach the mid area of the wall, you stops looking down. When you accidentally look down, your feet suddenly felt very sweaty and the chalk you used before does not seems to work. You decided to not look down and keep climbing up until you reach the top but there is a problem.

“Why you are not coming down?”, you heard him shout but you could not look down to reply him so you just screams. “I can’t!”

“You can’t? Was the rope stuck?”, he shout again.

“No!”

“Then come down!”

“I can’t!”, you screams again. Leedo was confuse what do you mean by you cannot.

“Hey, just let go the rope! It’s safe.”, he tries to ensure you that you actually can come down.

“I can’t! I’m scared of height you dumbass!”, you screams. Finally telling him that you were afraid of height. You did not plan to tell him like this but you really cannot look down right now. Well, you did peek a bit but that two seconds already made your body went cold. Your grip on the rope was so tight to the point that you actually could feel the burns on your palm.

“WHAT?!”, Leedo freak out. “YOU SHOULD HAVE TELL ME EARLIER!”, he said and quickly climb on the wall again. Well, more like climbing his way towards you.

Your arms were slowly becoming sore and you did not realised that Leedo has already climb again towards you and almost reach you. While you were trying to gather you courage to jump, suddenly a hand wrapped around your waist which made you literally almost jump.

“It’s me. It’s me.”. Leedo said as he grabs your waist closer to him and made you jump off along with him. 

“Ooo!!!”, the weird sound you made make Leedo laughed and you clinging on his nape very tight. As soon as you legs touch the ground, you automatically collapse on the ground and laid on the floor. Heavily sigh.

“You should have tell me that you are afraid of height. I wouldn’t make you climb that!”, Leedo scold you when he was sure that you are safe on the ground. You turn your head towards him and gave him a cheeky smile before sitting up and pulled him down, making him to sit down with you on the ground.

“You were so excited about it. I don’t want to be a kill joy.”, you said. “Plus it was interesting and fun, except for the jump off part.”, both of you laugh along as soon as you remind him about the jumping part.

“I promise to catch you next time you fall.”, he said as he hugs you.

Right after you both release each other’s hug, “Can we do bungee jump next time?”, he asks, teasing you.

“Seriously Leedo?!”

Warm Touch

Characters: Leedo x Reader Genre: Romance, Fluff

Description: Where Leedo helping his temporarily handicap girlfriend who had accident at work place.

Geonhak ran out from the practice right after he received a call from your manager. His coach voice echoed in the gymnasium when he saw Geonhak ran out. “Look at that jerk, is he going to skip practice again?”, the coach sounds disappointed and helpless. One of Geonhak partner chuckles at the coach.

“Coach, I know no matter how much you cuss at him he is still your favourite. Am I right?”, Seoho grinned at the coach who gave him a look before telling everyone to go back to practice.

As soon as Geonhak arrived at the hospital, he went to the emergency ward where the receptionist had told him earlier. He fasten his steps as he look around to find your bed in the emergency ward. There he saw you on the bed with a cast on your hand.

“Are you okay?”, was the first thing he asks when he reached you. He looks panic and covered in sweats. You awkwardly smile at him before nodding.

That morning, you did tell him that you are not feeling well and he even told you to take a sick leave but you refuse. You work as an art director for a musical theatre and despite of having a lot of crew for the artistic department, being a little perfectionist you are- when it comes to scenography, sets and props, you could not help but to lend a hand.

You climb up the ladder to fix one of the props on the setting. It was quite hight but instead of calling another crew member, you climb the ladder on your own and when you try to climb down, you miss the step and fell on your arms. You could hear the crack on your arms when you fell and when you try to move, was painful. You cannot help but let out a painful scream.

“I told you to take a leave today. Just— why don’t you listen to me?”, Geonhak was upset but he did not raise his voice. Well, honestly he never raise his voice to you at all.

“It wasn’t because of that. I just miss the step from the ladder.”, you pouted. Before Geonhak could say anything, the production manager cut in.

“You should stay at home and have some rest. Let me and your other crews take care of the rest.”, the manager said. You wanted to protest but was stopped by Geonhak.

“Oh Lord, for once can you listen to other people?”, upon hearing that, you pouted again and nods in defeat.

It has been a few days and you thought having a cast on your arms would be cool but it is more than a nuisance. Most of your movements are limited. You cannot tie you hair, wash your hair and wearing your clothes.

“Geonhak, can you help me with my bra?”, you shout from the room.

Geonhak on the other hand was cooking in the kitchen for breakfast heard you from the room. Thank goodness he was almost done with the dishes and lower the temperature of the stove before making his way to the room.

“What do you mean b— oh!”, he stop talking and made his way towards you. Your bare back are expose but he was use to it and there is no need an explanation for that. Your chest was already covered with your available hand but you could not reach the back. He gently pulled the rim of the sport bra for you.

“There, all done.”, he said. “Do you want me to tie your hair?”, he asks and you excitedly nods your head. You swear he would be a good father to his daughter one day. Geonhak tying up your hair is relaxing because his touch is actually warm and delicate.

“Actually, can you tie my hair every day even if I got my cast off?”, you asked playfully and he chuckles. His warm touch was like an addiction for you at the moment.

“Sure baby, why not?”, As soon as he tied your hair up, he walk out and went to the kitchen and serve the breakfast on the table. Before you walked out, you manage to check out yourself in the mirror. The ponytail he made was nice and it is very comfortable. Not too tight and not too loose.

Then you heard he called for you for breakfast and you slowly ran to the dining table while making sure that Geonhak did not catch you running or he would nags at you again.

“Thank you for the meal.”, you said before digging in.
