KIM SURO (Kim Suro: The Iron King): ENFJ
Extraverted Feeling (Fe): ENFJs are natural born leaders. They use their Fe to build relationships, empathize with others, and make the best possible decisions for their people group. Kim Suro exhibits all of these. He is generous, understanding, and a fighter for justice and equality for his people. Types with Fe are affected by their environment and can easily point out what needs to be changed. ENFJs will not stop until the flaw that they have fixated on is gone. Suro is the same way, constantly fighting for change in his nation.
Introverted Intuition (Ni): ENFJs are constantly thinking of ways to solve problems. When thinking, they tend to jump around and skip over things in their thought process, which causes them to presume things that will happen. ENFJs are more comfortable trying new things because they use their Ni to mostly correctly predict the outcome. Throughout the drama, we see Suro constantly trying and succeeding at new things. He builds a ship with no experience, builds and runs an iron forge, and eventually becomes king. He is confident in his decisions because of his Ni assuming that he will be successful. ENFJs are also excellent with people, using their Fe and Ni to naturally empathize and point out people’s dilemmas. Suro is known to do this, easily understanding his friends and acquaintances’ feelings.
Extraverted Sensing (Se): As mentioned earlier, Suro loves to try new things. A well developed Se makes ENFJs crave to experience different sensations. Se can help ENFJs organize their thoughts in a more understandable way. Suro’s Se strengthens as he ages. He uses it to create a solid, well thought-out plans and helps him to also focus on the smaller details instead of just the bigger picture.
Introverted Thinking (Ti): Being the weakest function, it takes time for an ENFJs’ Ti to strengthen. When making decisions, ENFJs are most likely to always put their feelings over their thoughts. Having a well developed Ti is a good thing, but can limit the Ni’s endless possibilities. Suro’s Ti definitely is used more as he grows older, but he still surrounds himself by thinkers who can help him shape his complex ideas into realistic, doable plans. ENFJs love feedback and input from those around them and are generally open minded people. Even when he is king, Suro is always asking others for advice and opinions when making decisions, which is a good thing. ENFJs need people with strong Ti or Te to keep them grounded.
