Its fascinating, because in the Greens each branch votes for their representative - and the Yarra branch has supported Maltzahn for a number of years - perhaps more people should become involved in the process? (I was a member too late to vote)

Thanks for more info on this! Sorta supports what I was saying about my worries with a lot of greens members and where their priorities (don't) lie. I don't doubt that I know a lot of Greens types who are anti-Maltzahn but now that she's pre-selected and the election's so close, it's really worrying me to see people I know supporting her and the cross-support from candidates in other electorates.

Can you call and push forward an appointment? Or call a help line or a friend? I'm sure your GP just wants to see you to help you!!!

I am on the cancelation list for my psych & GP, so hopefully something will come up in the meantime! A friend is coming to visit, and I am at my parents' place so I will be okay. My anxiety makes it really hard to call helplines (it's so frustrating to not feel able to get past something so simple especially when it's like, NECESSARY), and I used the online chat service on Friday night but it was ultimately not very helpful (nobody's fault, but the counsellor was a really slow typist- one sentence took up almost ten minutes! and it made me even more anxious sitting there watching "Crisis counsellor A1 is typing a response" for that long), or rather just not right for me-- but I know that service is so great and helpful for other people and I'm so glad it exists.

I know I will be okay; just experiencing new things with ptsd and it's really scary and I'm afraid of my own brain and it's causing large problems in my life right now and I want it to stop, and I want to feel in control of my own mind and self and body. SORRY FOR RAMBLING KIM! And thank you for your lovely and soothing response, you are great :3 xxxxxxxx

i'm leaving tumblr. i'm leaving this account (and website) behind. frankly, the idea of continuing to use tumblr makes my skin crawl, which is really saddening considering the number of people i have befriended, and the number of wonderful things i have seen and learnt on this site.

if you want to find me on facebook or whatever else you probably can and i hope you do, provided you're not a shithole. i think i have contact details for everyone here i'm friendly with, and i hope my not being here doesn't mean we don't hear from each other.
