okay HONESTLY ashton is Not that great of a person and i spent so long pretending that i liked him so i could spread positivity and all that shit or whatever BUT it was 100% not worth it

writing smut was really an Adventure for me. i originally intended to write is as an experiment bc i thought i might be asexual and i wanted to see if i would even be able to get past that uncomfortableness and it mostly did. it helped me get past so many of my insecurities just because it showed me that i could do something out of my comfort zone and now any time i think that something i do irl is gonna be embarrassing i literally just think abt the fact that i write a bunch of smut in +++

+++ my spare time and it makes some of the other things i do significantly less harder. don't know what my point is to this! but i think it's kind of fun to just try out and test your own limits cause why not. of course you're not gonna, like, not be ace anymore but idk there's just something really pleasing abt testing your comfort zone to me akahaks

this is the mindset i want to have when i grow up but tbh branching out of my comfort zone is a really, really huge stretch for me. i also would prefer to try and avoid all embarrassing things if possible, but i am mentally, physically, and emotionally a klutz so! 

aside from this, writing smut has literally 0% appeal to me. i think me sometimes wanting to write it stems more from the wow factor of smut being a prevalent part of the fanfiction community, not to mention it’s difficult, as a sfw writer, to ignore the trend that fics with smut get more attention than fics without it. and that isn’t at the fault of the smut writers nor is it at the fault of the readers. realistically, though, i could never sit down with a straight face when writing smut. it makes me feel weird and i don’t even find that much joy in reading it anymore.

also, you have no idea how difficult writing the poetry in the fic was for me. it was honestly ridiculous because i just Have So Much to Say and poetry rEsTricTS mE and quite frankly i still think that the poetry kind of sucks but i’m still thrilled that i engaged in such an exercise because it’s inspired me to work more on my poetry!! i recently wrote a longer, two-page poem and idk, i think it’s alright. maybe i’ll show it to you guys!
