This is a Platinum 3776 Century kindai (“modern”) maki-e cartridge / converter fountain pen in burgundy resin with a sansui (landscape) design c. 1990s. Platinum uses the name “modern maki-e” for screen printed pens that may also be hand decorated and, in those cases, some are signed by the artist. It’s about 5 1/4 inches long and features a gold plated nib stamped #3776 over the Platinum logo. Note the flat cap band. The trim is gold plated. The #3776 series, named for the height in meters of Mt. Fuji, the highest peak in Japan, is the longest running line for the company, being continuously modified and improved, and is still in production today. #pencollecting #fountainpen #platinum #platinumpen #platinumjapan #kindai #sansui #makie #mtfuji #penhero https://www.instagram.com/p/CQHnPS1jtOd/?utm_medium=tumblr
