Elara hardly remembered anything. Must’ve been the Firewhiskey or some other other strong alcohol. She woke up when she was tapped on the shoulder. She rubbed her eyes and looked back to see Silas. “Win at what?” She then saw that she was naked and covered up her chest with the covers they were under.

when caroline stirred awake, she knew it was far TOO EARLY in the morning. especially considering she’d went to bed pretty late the night before and drank a bit more than she should’ve. she squeezed her eyes shut when the clarity in the room made her head throb and tried to drift back to sleep in hope that, once she woke up a few hours later, her head wouldn’t be aching anymore. unfortunately to her, the haze of sleep disappeared the second she heard someone groan and the bed shift. her eyes widened and she rolled on the bed to face whoever was laying beside her. caroline’s jaw dropped when she laid her eyes on the man, but before she could mumble her best friend’s name and yell at him, he was speaking and just from the word ‘fancy’ she knew the person laying next to her WASN’T stefan. “silas?!” she shrieked, clutching the sheet covering her body. “w-what—how— OH MY GOD!!”

36. Florist AU

Working as a florist wasn’t something he’d ever thought he’d grow up to do, he always figured he’d end up working on his dad’s fishing boat or something of the like. At some point between graduating high school and now he’d ended up at the shop, he wouldn’t change it for the world honestly. The customers were decent, the work was steady and he did enjoy make the arrangements and raising the flowers.

When the bell on the door rang signaling someone walking in, he wiped his hands off on the apron, turning around. “Can I help you with something?”

eyes widened when tatia saw his face, a familair face; a face she had seen when she was human. a face she had to burry, because he died. BUT HOW could this face be back? tatia knew about the petrova doppelgangers, but she didn’t knew her dead husband was a doppelganger too. NARROWING her eyes, tatia watched the face from a distance. not sure what to do, maybe this person was her husband. she knows it wasn’t true, but DEEP DOWN she hoped her husband came back to life. the person she loved with all her heart, before she decided to choose elijah. BUT this she never expected to happen, it was really confusing.

It's both easy and so incredibly difficult to not see Stefan when she looks at him. Maybe it's her own encounters with Katherine that have taught Elena the signs to look for. Silas is more arrogant than Stefan, even no humanity Stefan, and he carries himself in a way that Stefan never would. Her head tilts to the side, considering him, "So you're the reason that there's a doppelganger curse to begin with?" Her whole life turned upside down because of his decision? It's seems surreal even for her life. "How . . . does that happen?"

She would spend every free moment at the aquarium if she could - it was fun, and it was different.  Plus, she got to learn about the ocean and ocean life, and it was a nice change from regular school-work and from witch-studies.  “That’s surprising, considering you’ve been around for so long.  I’d have thought you’d have stopped by one of these eventually, but better late than never, right?” she asked with a smile.  As he continued his thought, though, her expression fell and her jaw dropped.  “That’s...  You can’t just drown people, Silas!”
