In this series I share tweets that helped me learn new words and expressions. Here is one from 20 November, which was World Children’s Day or der Tag der Kinderrechte (the Day of the Children’s Rights).
The main body of the tweet is already rich for mining, as the following list shows:

The graphic gives us a more thorough language lesson. If you’re already familiar with the universal rights of children, then you could probably read and understand the whole thing without my glosses, even if the words were new to you. But just in case some are tricky, I offer a second vocabulary list all the same:

Meiner Meinung nach sind der Schutz, die Bildung, die Erholung, usw. von Kindern so wichtig, dass wir nicht offiziell für die stimmen hätten sollen, sondern alle Kinder mit diesen ganz selbstverständlich versorgen.
