There have been some exciting developments for me regarding work over the last few weeks. I'm being trained in the Bibliographic Office for cataloguing and reviewing of books! This is huge. Honestly, it's the best I've felt about work in a long time, plus it's giving me valuable experience which I can use to help me apply for Masters courses. I'm nervous, but I'm also excited. Don't be surprised if a lot of the books I post about in the near future are children's books haha
151 Days of Pokémon is over. Will you still be seeing daily art from me? The short answer is no. The longer answer is I leave the house at 6.15 and don't get back in until 17.15 (on a good travel day, which is basically never) during the week, and by the time I get home I mostly want to eat and sleep and drawing is usually the last thing on my mind. 151 Days of Pokémon has been fun, but also stressful at times - I don't want to associate drawing with stress. I need it to be something I can enjoy. But I am going to try to finish at least one decent (i.e. full colour) piece per week. If digital I might stream said piece. These pieces will just be whatever I fancy working on at the time (be that OCs, fanart, just a random animal because why not etc.). If I end up sketching during the week I'll also share said sketches. TL;DR: There probably won't be daily drawings but there might be weekly arts.
I finally have a cabinet thing to display my Beatrix Potter figures in~ <3
It’s not up yet, but I’m excited to get it set up and start showing off my collection properly.
One of my favorite characters I've written so far only appears for a few chapters but he is such a joy to write. He is just the gay little assistant of the king dragon named after a goddammed maisy mouse character who gets his 'redption' in the second book.
He's kind of an ass but he doesn't mean to be he's just bitter the king chose a royal lady dragon of another kingdom over him
We love you Cryil
I speed ran editing yesterday over half the book checked for spelling and flow errors. A bunch of passages rewrote, I am so close to having this finished and ready to publish
You know until I get to the artwork bit. I'm not adding a huge amount of art but it's still more work to do
I love how in The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, Lucie is completely clueless that Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is a hedgehog until the very end when she doesn’t have clothes on and is running on all fours.
Sweetie, I think you need glasses.
You ever see little craft supplies and start thinking of silly/fun little things to do with them?
Like, I saw some little corked glass bottles today and a couple of different beads/charms and started thinking it would be cool to make little ‘healing potions’ for my RPG group with little charms or beads relating to the class of their characters attached to them.
My brain goes weird places sometimes.
