mood  09: focused  /  not accepting

❛  i  haven’t  really  shown  anyone  else,  ❜  carl  admits,  hesitant  to  remove  the  bandage.  but  he  trusts  glenn,  and  he  knows  that  the  man  is  struggling  with  his  own  injury.  carl  remembers  feeling  so  incredibly  lonely  after  the  accident,  disheartedly  keeping  his  fears  and  reservations  to  himself.  he  would  never  want  glenn  to  have  to  endure  those  feelings  of  despondency  on  his  own,  not  when  his  selfless  nature  has  sacrificed  so  much  for  the  good  of  the  group  and  for  carl  himself.  he  recalls  that  night  so  vividly,  replaying  the  events  that  will  be  imprinted  in  his  mind  for  as  long  as  he  lives.  he  thought  he  had  seen  it  all,  but  never  had  carl  witnessed  something  so  brutal  and  cruel,  never  had  he  witnessed  someone  so  undeserving  undergo  such  treatment  as  glenn  under  the  heavy  hand  of  negan.  

he  finally  unfurls  the  last  of  the  gauze,  placing  it  on  the  table  and  slowly  brushing  his  hair  out  of  his  face.  ❛  you  don’t  have  to  show  me  if  you  don’t  want  to.  i  just  want  you  to  know  that  you’re  not  alone.  ❜

i don’t know anything about bio (aside from what you’ve told me obvs) but the dedication you have for amelia is,,,,,,, PHEW. pretty much have to follow u no matter who you write because one your writing is actually ?? so nice and beautiful and two just slam dunk me with the dedication and time you put in to each of your characters

           once  he  had  looked  at  it  long  enough,  it  was  alright.  and  he  had  said  it  was  okay  to  look.  he  must’ve  known  that  people  already  did;  but  Bill  was  glad  for  the  permission.  thought  it  would  be  rude  to  just  stare.  he  ignores  the  voice  of  his  mother  in  the  back  of  his  head.  his  heart  beats  just  a  bit  faster,  perhaps  he’s  a  bit  nervous.  he  doesn’t  really  know  how  to  teach  anything,  besides  to  his  dead  little  brother.  it  still  hurts  to  think  about  it  though,  and  Bill  knows  it  probably  always  will.  “  ahh--almuh---most,  it’s  b--been  a  while  since....  ”  he  drifts  off  a  moment,  “  you  duh-d-don’t  need  to  wuh--w-worry  about  being  eh--e-e--exact  with  it  yet.  just  bruh--rr-ing  you  hand  down  across  your  palm.  ”

               she can’t say she blames him. it’s been a long and difficult day, to say the least — and on top of that, she knows she hasn’t exactly been the easiest to deal with, either. so petra nods wordlessly and for once, she doesn’t push — ( it’s not like she’d know what to say, anyway. not to mention, she’s never been that good at providing comfort — doesn’t exactly radiate warmth and compassion. ) — petra remains silent beside him for a while, feels awkward because despite her apparent inability to show it, she does care. she lets out a soft sigh, fingers fumbling restlessly until she finally reaches out — hesitates, before allowing her palm to rest on his knee,  ❛ you don’t have to go through this alone. i hope you know that. ❜  she says quietly,  ❛ i’ll be in the other room if you need anything. ❜
