Sierra: "My ‘suspension’ was a cover. I was close to something big. That’s why they pulled me off. Someone torched my evidence. But I never stopped digging."
Then, all the sudden, L. Faba, Sage of Mischief Magic decides to join them:
"Ooooh, borrowing security footage is such a hassle. How about I just… erase you from it? Temporarily. Wink."
"Darling, you’re my favorite chaos gremlin."
(Rebecca gives Sierra a warm, firm hug.) "Thank you—for not giving up."
(Back home, Suzana pores over notes beside the Celestial Crystal Crown.)
"Hypothesis: Marcus designed this to enhance vampiric powers and negate weaknesses. But if Hemolith corrupts crystals…"
(She tries inserting the crystal known as Peach)
"Fascinating. It replaces the need for blood… temporarily. Victor’s ‘enhanced’ crystals must be the opposite—amplifying* hunger until it consumes the user."*
"I traced funding lines. The lab is bankrolled by shell companies—seven layers deep. But they all loop back to one name: Victor Blackwood."
"Of course. Always the same puppetmaster."
Janet:
"My cops will ping Victor’s comms. If he sneezes, we’ll know."
"I could sketch your downfall in seven verses. But you have potential… If your friends don’t ruin it."
"Marcus was family. You’re stepping where he walked. That earns you a tag… and some secrets."
“Let’s talk about rebellion, elegance, and well-dressed destruction.”
Grayson:
"Are you in this for Kane’s memory… or revenge?"
Amy (without blinking):
"Both."
"Best. Intel. Gathering. Ever."

"Wonderful. Our options are 'wait for Suzana to do homework' or 'summon a forklift'."
*(The group explores the bizarre hybrid lab - half alchemical garden, half dragon nursery.)*
"Wait... these aren’t storage rooms. They’re growing something here."
“This wasn't a laboratory. This is a garden.”

To ensure success, we need Elder vitae. Catalyst Required: Elder vitae in massive quantities. Suggested the ex-Brujah Primogen (Marcus Kane). V.B. froze at the name—old Guild of Whispered Secrets business between them? Irrelevant. The man's blood will serve science.

We chose Blair. Boyd and Susan hesitated. Parental objections overruled. Her artistic temperament and latent psychic sensitivity make her ideal.

Further testing confirms Blair’s vitae signature is Malkavian. Was she a malkavian's ghoul? Blair dances with voices made of math.

Security Measure: Blood Golem deployed at Sublevel 4 entrance. The blood hums like moths inside my skull. The crystal dreams… and so do I.
July 24th:
The vasselmire weeps in fractal time.
"It's like that scene from Resident Evil... only worse."
“The last time a hallway looked like this, I found a haunted toaster. Don’t ask.”
The gang regroups and shares what they found.
Amy: “This is what they did to her?”
Sierra: “This goes beyond unethical.”
Leslie: “It’s a cult pretending to be a lab.”
Rebecca: “No. It’s both.”
"Orion's notes confirm it—the Hemolith 'enhancements' are just a side effect. They're trying to weaponize Tiam'el's essence through Blair."
“Not helping. If they've turned her into some kind of... vampire-god conduit...”
“She’s my sister.”
Rebecca: what happens when we—"
"—When we kick their asses? Same as always. Loud noises and property damage."
"Police database shows 84 missing persons linked to this address. We're shutting this down."
"Query: If subject Blair is now 'door' for entity Tiam'el, does destruction equal 'closing' or 'opening' said door?"
"Either way, we find Victor Blackwood first. A Ventrue always keeps his failures close."
“I don’t like where this is going”
(They keep searching the lab)
Suzana: “Some of these are decades ahead of their time…”
Rebecca: “And still look like evil toasters.”
(They come across a metal door)
Suzana: “Whatever’s behind that… isn’t going to be friendly.”
Sierra: “We’re not here for friendly.”
Rebecca: “Five simoleons says there are containment units.”
Leslie: “Five says they’re occupied.”
Amy: “I hate when you two are both right.”
