A strong smirk towards the other. The smoke within this domicile smelled odd but yrdis was unaffected by this what he called 'modern magic'. A thing the mortals called science and math. In a way his magic was like science but it was besides the point. His yellow hues looking up at crane out of curiosity.

Perhaps he did know fear. Studied it in ways that made him unafraid of anything and it was rather interesting to him. Did he truly think him a hallucination? It was something he wasn't exactly expecting despite the gorgeous looks and massive size. He smiled and kept his hands firmly behind his back as he took a deep breath. Raised his arms. And lowered them to where the area around them cleared. To where the gas would remain. But the gas would not touch him. Almost like a bubble was around him as he approached. Getting a closer look at him.

"Your points are wise. Yet the snarl was..uncalled for." He smirked. Clapping his hands to signify his amusement he cocked his head." As for a crazy bat man I'm unfamiliar with such things. I know of vampires, werewolves, beasts unspeakable or indescribable to mortal ears. But you..seem to embrace being a monster. Giving fear to thoes around you. You mortals truly are something else sometimes."

But the mention of the bat man made him cock his head in thought. His imagination trying to comprehend the name. A bat the size of a man? He sped through a mental category in his mind but found nothing." Tell me more of this...bat man."

“ This..is not the plague. “

Confusion danced upon her pale features as the shaman stepped out into the open, glancing at the sickly green gas that crawled along the ground like insects. At first, she presumed it was a plague - ridden magic akin to her own — but upon further inspection, this component lacked the necessary ailments the plague contained.

Even worse, Betty was calmly studying the gas from a good distance as the mystery figure was having a field day using the civilians as his own personal test subjects, her senses certainly picking up on the screams and gagging but harboring little to no care for them. She’s not a heroine. Those days of risking herself for others were long gone. Her life — or lives — were way more important than the lives of mice and guinea pigs.

“ Mmmm…

You there. “

Calling out to the Scarecrow, the Dhampir boredly lopped her head to the side of her shoulder, exposed fangs lifting upwards in a snarl,

“ Are you finished playing around with these rodents? I have inquiries for you. Hurry it up. “

She possesses no fear — only the audacity to speak to someone so dangerous so lowly.

Dwight's footsteps echoed down the hallway. With every passing step, he looked back to make sure he wasn't being followed. Sneaking past his guards was trouble enough, he didn't want to run into anyone who would no doubt drag him back into his room. Since Dwight arrived at the Castle, escape was the only thing on his mind, and the Blackburns knew it. So outside of Dwight's chambers stood guards, patrolling the hallway that lead to the young prince's room. Dwight was free to wander the Castle, but he usually had a guard or servant tailing behind him. It felt suffocating to the young prince.

When Dwight saw his chance, he dashed out of sight and took exploring the Castle at his own leisure. He was mainly looking for escape routes but the halls had many twists and turns, it was a mystery on how anyone could find their way around here. He stopped at doors to peak inside them, checking to see if he could find anything useful. Some of the rooms were guest rooms for visiting nobles or other royals from neighboring kingdoms. Dwight found stairs leading down to a single hallway with one door. Believing he found an escape, he rushed down the steps, nearly tripping as he did before he bursted through the door.

It wasn't an escape, it was just another room filled with strange equipment and boxes. Dwight sighed in disappointment but lingered around the room, his curiosity now peaked. The room was dimly lit, safe by some candlelight. There were boxes, some opened and some pushed into a corner. The things that were laid out on the tables were bottles containing strange liquids and unusual equipment. Dwight approached the table, hand reaching out to grab a bottle when he noticed someone in the corner of his eye. He gasped and whipped around to see that he wasn't alone, there was someone in the room with him. How long have they've been there?

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Dwight said, now visibly flustered. "I didn't mean to intrude, honestly, I didn't know this room was already in use."

Unbelievable. The arrogance. The lack of respect.

Cicero was not going to tolerate this from a so called 'professor'. He would not. He was going to make him pay.

The farm was an eerie background. If Cicero was a weaker sort, he might even be afraid. But he was not. If anything, it made him pleased- out here, the odds of their little fight being interrupted were much lower.

And a lone butterfly fluttering through the air, well... he didn't stick out, that was for sure. It allowed him to explore, get a lay of the land, and locate the professor without him apparently noticing. Well, he couldn't play around forever. Crane knew he'd be coming. It'd be rude to keep his host waiting for too long.

One butterfly became two, then four, then a swarm, right behind the professor. In a second he was back to his true form, his claws growing from his fingertips.

"Put your money where your mouth is, Crane... Am I really just a rat?"

He didn't wait a second longer. He lunged. He was going to make Crane regret ever disrespecting him.

“If one were to refer to you as DOCTOR, your legal title, should they not also use your REAL last name? Doctor Fries? And, if they choose to refer to you as MISTER, what you are most commonly known as amongst the populace of Gotham, should they not spell your name with the villainous psuedonym you have acquired? Mister Freeze? One or the other, indeed.”

I genuinely cannot care about it anymore. It is trivial —- I have moved on and past these matters. The all-consuming rage that had initially transformed me into a vengeful individual is now gone, for the most part. People are free to refer to me as one or the other, though it does make little sense to me if they choose to refer to me as both at once, grammatically speaking.

However, most humans know me only because of the... villainous acts I have been part of, so it is understandable they know me as Mr. Freeze rather than by my birth name. Though again: it still matters not.
