yknow as an ex-dsmp fan i've been finding the contrast between eret's and ren's kingship extra funny

i mean. eret got the crown through betraying people and being ascended by the people he was previously revolting again and ended up being one of the most noble and accepted kings who was ultimately a pretty good guy minus the whole betrayal thing

meanwhile you have ren who was ascended by someone for actively helping the community and ended up enforcing taxes and making everyone outside of his court hate him, accidentally triggering the local resistance guy to make a "not a resistance club"

on that note. i wouldve loved to see technoblade and grian team up.

but yeah the fact that the guy who gained the crown through shitty means was a good king and the guy who gained the crown though good means was a shitty king is kind of poetic in a fucked up way
