friends and i were discussing king as a beautiful woman & literally the only thing that changes from canon king isat is that he’s wearing a he/him pronoun pin with a lesbian flag behind it. you agree

hey i had the funniest idea imaginable. ok so. what if, during a familyquest + kingquest combo loop, mira's aroacery and the fact that vaugarde isn't the most accepting to someone like her who wants to stay the same came up while sif was playing 20 questions w king. and king was like oooh......... what do you mean.........? the loving people of vaugarde....... being unaccepting.......... of such a trivial thing...........? ooooh........... perhaps...... vaugarde is not as perfect as i thought........... i...... cannot possibly immortalize it in the amber of time as is, then...............

which makes everyone excited bc oh shit he's giving it up? fr???? and he's like no. i WILL freeze vaugarde eventually........ but we have to address the aroacephobia first............. only then can i preserve it in eternity......

and that's the end of kingquest bc he refuses to keep fighting when he has a much more important foe to vanquish.......... intolerance.

and yes this breaks the loops. bc the party decide to stay together to

1) figure out wtf to do in this looney toons ass situation

2) keep an eye on king so he doesn't do anything crazie(r)

3) take bonnie back to nille while somehow while lugging king around and overseeing him in his new self-appointed solemn duty

Vaugardians decorating King's frozen body with flowers and jewelries and giving him random stuff to change something about him as a symbol of change winning against stillness and that truly, even frozen, he still is capable of changing.

Travellers rubbing King's armour as a good luck charm, believing that a frozen armour that no longer can be broken will pass them the same strength as it has.

Children playing on King's body, climbing up on him, hiding behind his back, braiding his hair, talking to him when they feel that nobody can understand them.

Writers, artist, musicians and other talented souls all across the world creating masterpieces based on the situation, trying to figure out what thought process he might've had, seeing his happy face and wondering why was he smiling at his last moments.

Scholars theorizing endlessly on how one can achieve such powerful craft as he did, studying his frozen body, trying to figure out the mystery.

His old friends from Corbeaux coming over to tell what happened in their lives in the meantime, bringing him some gifts that they believe he might've liked.

Righteously furious people demanding for his body to be drowned or buried somewhere but facing rejection because, despite everything, people found themselves loving The King.

Mirabelle, years later, coming back to Dormont to do something and go back to travelling with everyone, sees what happened to the King's body and it forever stays in her mind. The party asking her what happened in Dormont that made her look so off and she answers that "just remembered that year" with no further explanation, while her brooch is now attached to the cloak that somebody put on him alongside of other things.
