Part 2 of my Nanatsu redesigns

The Fae!

First of all, I made the Fae folk, not only the Fairies. Then, I made the Fae folk... uncanny 👀

And lastly, since King is linked to the Sacred Tree but Elaine is linked to the Fountain...

Elaine is now a Mermaid! (so is Gerharde and Dahlia: one of the Fae Sovereigns is a Fairy and the other is a Merperson)

So basically the Fae folk is made of elemental shapeshifters. They change and mature mostly due to trauma. When they are babies, they are Sproutling or Pearlings, then they start to Hover/Float when they reach their tweens. They mature until they're Budding or Nacreling, basically late teenage/early twenties, and this is the stage we meet King and Elaine in the story. A traumatic event can make them grow old faster and get fully-developed wings that signal their Awakened stage (late twenties) (still need to fix King's Awakened design)

Also, since, unlike Nakaba, I don't plan for them to switch on and off this adult stage, I designed a "godlike" form for them

As you may have guessed, I'm making Elaine actually NOT LOOK LIKE A CHILD and make King younger when he met Diane so that HE'S NOT GROOMING HER

Random pet peeve I have with the nnt English wiki: WHY IS THE GREAT TREE LABELED THE SACRED TREE???

Like I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the Sacred Tree and Great Tree are seperate entities. The Cursed by Light movie literally shows them having different designs.

Like the Sacred Tree lies in the Fairy realm (only accessible to fairies) and the Great Tree lies in the Fairy King’s Forest. I always understood that the Great Tree was an extension of the Sacred Tree but in Britannia. Since the Fairy King’s Forest acts like a border between the human and fairy realm.

And just to support my reasoning that I’m not crazy and they are in fact different: Don’t you think it’d be a pretty big deal if the literal GOD OF THE FAIRIES DIED FROM A RED DEMON. And like don’t you think it’d be a bigger deal for fairies if your god/creator died? Instead of just a “Boo Harlequin you suck” moment.

Anyways this is a rant I remember having in my head four years ago, and I just wanted to get it out.
