Historical Armies - Army of King Tomislav
Baptized Croatia musters as many as 60 thousand horse and 100 thousand foot, and galleys up to 80 and cutters up to 100. The galleys carry 40 men each, the cutters 20 each and smaller cutters 10 each. This great power and multitude of men Croatia possessed until the time of Prince Krasimer. Once upon a time …in Croatia!
The the very first Croatian King Tomislav 925 AD, called on the royal weather forecaster and inquired as to the weather forecast for the next few hours. The royal weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain for at least 4 days.

Kralj Tomislav
Čuvar sam vjerni svoje Domovime, Lav stražar rodne rijeke i doline! Susjede, dom si na svojemu gradi! Zovi me zid međni, plot krvavi!

Coronation of king Tomislav
By the claiming of the coastal cities of Dalmatia, Tomislav raised the question of sovereignty of the Croatian Bishopric of Nin. In 925 the Pope summoned a synod in Split to resolve the situation, and in a letter sent to Tomislav, recognised him as king (rex) of Croats. According to the latter medieval sources, Tomislav was crowned at the field of Duvno (named Tomislav's City in his honour), but there are no contemporary records of this event. Although he was referred to as King, Tomislav's more frequently used title would be Princeps instead.
