(Y/N) was sick.
He had the potential to have the disease...but he didn't know it would be this bad. He coughed up half formed chrysanthemums, roses, lilacs...all beautiful on their own, but when literally blooming inside him...
They turned into weapons. The art of murder.
Taehyung was oblivious, joining him in bed most nights, "loving" him just the way he always did.
The only problem is, (Y/N) didn't know why this was happening.
Taehyung was cheating on him...with one of his best friends, Jungkook.
He was confused. Taehyung always loved him...right?
Hecheatedhecheatedhecheatedhecheated
(Y/N) tried to push out the thoughts in his head.
Hecheatedhecheatedhecheatedhecheated
The voice in his head bounced around, shrieking with laughter.
A raspy cough shocked him out of his thoughts. He could feel the vines curling around his lungs, holding them down in a chokehold, not letting him breathe. The thorns in those vines were dangerously close to puncturing them.
He would die if that happened.
That night, (Y/N) was determined to find out why the hell this was happening.
The clock ticked 9 PM. Taehyung said that he'd be back by 8 or 8:15 at the most. He was going out with a friend today, he didn't specify which friend or anything. Just "a friend."
10 PM. The older man was frustrated. But he pushed it down and didn't move, reading a book. Thoughts of Taehyung clouded his mind. But he didn't act.
Pretty soon, the clock ticked 11 PM. That was it. (Y/N) grabbed his keys from the door and slammed the back door behind him. He was angry now, wondering where the hell Taehyung was. It had been 5 hours since he left.
"God. He's probably out drinking again...fucking drunkard...some boyfriend you got there." The little voice in his head sneered.
(Y/N) shushed it quietly, his hands gripping the steering wheel as he drove off down the street.
It felt like he drove for hours before he reached the bar that Taehyung had gone to. The man picked up his phone and dialed his boyfriend's number.
Meanwhile, at Jungkook's house, through the drunken haze of lust and sex, Jungkook reached for Taehyung's phone. He looked over at Taehyung's sleeping form, inches away from him, with loving eyes.
"Baby...your phone is ringing...someone named (Y/N)?"
"Mmmm...?" Taehyung hummed, opening his eyes blearily.
Jungkook kissed his head, cradling his cheek and repeated what he said, softer this time.
The other man's eyes widened when he saw who was calling. He put the phone to his ear with trembling hands. Jungkook frowned, wondering what had happened, why was his Taehyung so scared?
"H-hello?" Taehyung murmured in a scared whisper.
"Where are you?" (Y/N)'s voice was calm, but his body was shaking with rage.
"I'm at a friend's house." The effects of the alcohol was starting to wear off, and he was coming to his senses, so his words weren't slurred.
"And where is this...friend of yours? I want to talk to them."
Taehyung trembled. "I can't let you do that. He's sleeping."
"Okay. Then tell me the address of where you are. Wake him up and then we'll ta-"
Taehyung cut the phone, too shaky to hear any more out of his soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend’s mouth.
On the other end, (Y/N) mumbled obscenities under his breath. He would find his boyfriend, no matter what. He rasped out a cough, vomiting out rosy pink petals and blood.
"Just another rose..."
He put the now half-ruined rose aside, wiping his mouth on his wrist and smearing the crimson liquid everywhere. The man's hands clenched into white-knuckled fists around the wheel as the tracker on his phone told him exactly where Tae was. Find My Iphone really does you good sometimes.
Why do the prettiest flowers always have the biggest thorns?
He hopped out of the car and climbed up the steps to the large front door, engraved with some designs. Honestly, the whole house was big. And pretty. The scene inside? Probably not so much.
"At least you know that Taehyung's been cheating on you with some rich bitch." The snooty voice in his head sniggered.
"At least I wouldn't stoop so low as to cheat on someone behind their back." The man murmured back, knocking on the door and abruptly ending the conversation.
"Um...yes?" A milky, pale-skinned boy stood there in a fluffy white bathrobe. His brown hair was tousled from sleep and his eyes were half lidded.
"Is there a Jeon Jungkook and Kim Taehyung here?" (Y/N)'s voice was authoritative, making the boy shiver. No one messes with this guy.
"Y-yes sir. I'm Jungkook's younger brother. I-I can tell you where he is."
"Please do."
Jungmin (the brother), led him up a big flight of stairs, lit by a chandelier that glittered like the stars. He stopped right outside a closed mahogany door. This was Jungkook's brother.
He slowly opened the door, to see a sight that broke his heart.
His lover, curled up in the arms of another man. Namely, this one looked like a bigger version of Jungmin. This was Jungkook.
(Y/N) couldn't do much more than look at the heartwrenching sight as he started to cough up bigger and more formed flowers. And more blood. Lots more blood.
The hacking got the attention of Jeon Jungkook himself as he sat upright in bed, exposing his naked chest.
"Can I help you?" The man raised a perfectly arched brow.
"I want to talk to my boyfriend."
"W-who is your boyfriend?" Jungkook was confused.
(Y/N) laughed bitterly between raspy coughs. "It's the man who just slept with you, my friend. Kim Taehyung, my boyfriend. To think that I was going to marry him a year from now..." (Y/N) laughed again, but this time the laugh turned into a cough that started to close his lungs.
"You had a BOYFRIEND?!" Jungkook's shock turned to rage and he delivered a sound blow to Taehyung's cheek. His face moved with the slap as he audibly gasped, tears shimmering in his eyes.
"AND YOU CHEATED ON HIM?! LOOK AT HIM! HE'S DYING! YOU LEFT HIM LIKE THIS?! FOR HOW LONG?!" The brown-haired boy kept shouting, his rage forming a monster.
"Forget you. I'm going to take this man to the hospital," Jungkook said, pulling the barely conscious (Y/N) up.
"And you better be gone. Out of my house, out of my bed, out of my life. I can't believe I fell in love with a two-timer whore like you. If I see you here when I get back, I'm making sure I finish the job myself."
He mumbled under his breath, his eyebrows creasing in an angry frown, "I'm going to kill you."

Mike's start will be posted soon, hopefully. Anyway, I wanted to know which character you wnat me to focus on. Like, who do you wnat to see an ending for first? And then I need to know if I should write out an ending or just do all their branching paths right away
Choose
Chris, complete an ending
Chris, do his branches
Hudson, complete an ending
Hudson, do his branches
Mike, complete an ending
Mike, do his branches
Voting ended onFeb 12
And by do his branches, I mean, do all the options from start until we make it to an ending, while focus on an ending would be one option focus at a time to a specific ending.
Idk. Im mostly just asking for character focus. Please read the starts if you want! It gives more context to where their stories go.
"Today... why did it have to be today!?" Eclipse mumbled to himself as he walked to the center of the forest. His magic coursing through him. He was going to need it.
It was the day when the connection would be strongest. Where he could have the clearest communication. He really needed to talk to him…
After finally making his way to the perfect spot, the strongest spot, he stopped and dropped to his knees. Eclipse put his hands to the ground, directing his magic beneath the earth, beneath this plane of existence.
“Hear me, spirits. I wish to call upon one of you. I have experience with death herself. I am worthy of you. Come to me. I call to you, Eclipse.” Eclipse bent down to a bowing position. It would help draw him out.
A flash of light appeared as the ground began to glow. A chuckle could be heard in his own voice, but he knew it wasn't coming from himself.
“Well, well, well… I've never had anyone bow to me before. I have to say… I’m flattered you bothered.” Looking up only slightly but still appearing as low as possible, he saw what looked to be Sun’s feet, but… very different. Glowing. A bright gold. Too bright, in his opinion.
“Get up, let's get this over with.” Eclipse got up as quick as possible. He stared down at the original Eclipse. He was the same height as Sun, which was jarring.
It was very strange for the original, high, and mighty Eclipse to be… shorter. There was one major difference setting them apart, proving that the spirit before him was superior. He was very bright. Blinding almost. His golden skin glistened. His electric blue eyes felt like daggers they way they pierced Eclipse with his stare.
“Not even going to wish me a happy birthday? You should know I expect cake and party hats.” The spirit chuckled. For some reason, his carefree nature scared Eclipse. Maybe it was just the concept of standing in front of the original… The one who began and ruined his life…
“You don't talk much, do you?” The spirit cocked his head.
“No, I… just…”
“Intimidated?” The spirit smiled evily.
“No. I'm just thinking… I really needed to talk to you.” Eclipse's rays flared. Drawing back into his head before shooting out and reflecting downwards. He often got upset that he couldn't control his rays, but his emotions could.
“You have my full attention, copy.” The name cut deep for Eclipse coming from the original, but he already knew it was true.
“I want to know… everything. You're the Eclipse I have the most fragmented memories of. I want the full story. From very beginning to the end.” Eclipse's rays changed direction again. Embarrassed, he decided to ignore it from then on.
“That's quite an ask. Does this have something to do with… Lunar?” The spirit stopped smiling, but from his tone, you'd think he was.
“He's not the main reason, but I do think I deserve to know. It would make me a better copy, and that's all I want from you.” It sounded pathetic, but all Eclipses have experience with being pathetic. This one would understand.
“Really, now? I've been watching you Eclipse, and I have to say… At first, I was deeply disappointed… but now-” Eclipse interrupted the spirit.
“You're angry… I know I'm not like you at all… but-”
“Ha! You really think you know me better than I do? You really ARE trying to copy!” The spirit laughed a deep, bellowing laugh.
Eclipse sighed. This wasn't going anywhere.
“No. Now I feel… almost jealous, if I'm being honest.” Eclipse looked down at the spirit. Jealous?
“You are giving yourself the chance that I threw away, that I never really had. You have the opportunity at something greater. I don't really care if what you do next is evil or in Sun and Moon’s best interest. You're better than them. You're an Eclipse. You're better than everyone.”
It wasn't what Eclipse was expecting to hear, but… it did help. To hear the original Eclipse, the best Eclipse, say all this. It was… different.
“Now I wish I brought you a cake.” Eclipse smiled. “If you follow me back to the pizzaplex, I'll get you one.”
“I might take you up on that offer. We can walk and talk about… whatever you want, I guess.” The spirit shrugged but smiled back at Eclipse.
“Ok.” Eclipse began to walk away, but the spirit didn't follow.
