Saw @annaofthenorthernlights do it and thought it looked fun.
Rules: List the first lines of the last ten (10) stories you published. Look to see any patterns you notice yourself and see if anyone else notices any. Then tag some friends.
2) The large expanse of the lecture hall rivals some of the ones at Starfleet Academy. (reignited)
3) He hasn't seen his daughter in person for a year. ((childhood))
4) Leonard's string has always been loose. (red string)
5) Cooking and baking have never been his forte. (Nailed It!)
6) Sometimes, only sometimes, Hunter curses himself for being born an omega. (sweeter than heaven, hotter than hell)
7) "Hunter!" (As I move my feet towards your body I can hear this beat (and it gets louder and louder))
8) She's hot, burning hot. (blue blazes)
9) "Gonna die." (changes)
10) It's been a surprisingly quiet and peaceful night docked at the Republic of Pirates. (love you to the moon and to saturn)
So what do I notice about my first lines?
2/10 are dialogue... And only one or two words.
7/10 mention a name or pronoun. 🫠 Might want to try to break that up a bit.
2/10 establish locations.
5/10 establish the trope, theme, what the story is about.
3/10 have at least one word in italics.
Tagging for fun (but anyone can do it of course! Apologies if you don't like being tagged. That's my bad. I can remove the tag or whatnot.): @stardustandash, @huntressdarkness, @whimsicalmeerkat, @luthien-under-bough, @vix-spes, @cathcer1984, @ladylucksrogue, @ximeria, @shipseekingshippers, and @voldiebuns
