He was trying to lie to himself that he hadn't liked spending that boundary with Alfred, he couldn't get it out of his head and that was a problem. Mainly because he had told him before everything, he was the king but deep down he didn't care. Unlike him he didn't care if he was a Christian, it was what he believed and in the end as long as he didn't force him to change he didn't care in the least, he had many Christian friends. He had not told anyone although he could tell something was going on with him because several times Finan had asked him why they had not returned to Cookham which he did not know how to tell him that he could not leave Winchester now, there was something more than an oath that prevented him from leaving. He was in the bar with his friends drinking when one of Alfred's guards came up to let him know that the king wanted to see him, he took what was left of his drink in one gulp and got up, without repelling, a strange thing for him to do. He got up and went to where he was told to go, although he was surprised because they were not usually the halls where they met, it was a private room... intimate, with no one to disturb. He opened the doors, observing the king there and could not help but smile subtly. He closed the doors ending up approaching towards him. ❝——You wanted to see me?❞ he asked with interest, his eyes fixed on his trying to contain his royal desires.
