COMEDY TONIGHT: Monday 24th November

Hello!

Hope you all have had a lovely weekend, here are a couple of gigs worth checking out tonight (scroll down for details!)

Apologies – the blog has taken a bit of a back seat this week.  Hopefully we will return to normal in the coming weeks.

Here are some up and coming comedians who I believe are worth going along to see gig..You know the type you go and see.. then even a long time after the gig you’ll be in Sainsbury’s next to the bread rolls and you’ll remember that comedian’s material and start giggling to yourself?  (I will update and add comedians as and when I can - rather busy/exciting times my end at the moment so bear with me!) 

A few people have asked when am I going to be gigging next: the answer is – very soon!.. I’ve got some exciting projects on the go which I will hopefully be able to talk about later on in the year (very early days of planning them at the moment).. so watch this space!

If you have just started reading this blog, it’s a mixture of chatting about:

- Gigs I am doing/done - let’s call it ‘Claire’s comedy journey’..

- Gigs I am going to see whether it is a well known comic or not..

-  I promote comedians on here too, again well know comedians and not so well known.

"An idea I have had recently is to let you all know about comedians who are gigging that aren’t necessarily well known (chances are I have written about them already on here, and if I haven’t, then it’s probably in my ‘List to do’)

I will continue to write about the well known comedians I go and see and about my gigs too.

As someone who is starting out in stand up, it is really hard to get people along to see you.  Also, if you are anything like me - it is hard to promote yourself. (I seem to have got better at it over the years)

So I shall write a blog entry (at the moment it is as and when, but I hope to do it every week) telling you about comedians I have seen or I have gigged with and love their material..

Who knows - you might be seeing the next Luisa Omielan, Lucy Beaumont, Trevor Noah, Russell Kane etc”

I saw Eshaan for the first time up at EdFringe as a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny , at Café a la Mode in Covent Garden and recently at We Are Funny . 

He won the We Are Funny Award at the end of the night which allows him to do a 10min spot (as I understand it, though I may have understood it incorrectly!) Every time I have seen Eshaan gig I have laughed so much. His comedy style is both anecdotal and observational he is extremely funny.

In addition to all this, he has got through to The Laughing Horse New Act competition FINAL which is on Sunday 30th.

He helps run a comedy night called Big Nose Comedy (Which I’m really excited about because I will be gigging there Sunday 30th)
