The King of Bahrain is currently on an official visit to France. An additional opportunity to foster the relationships between the Kingdom of Bahrain and France• As a member of the French community in Bahrain, I am proud to believe Bahraini-French relationships become with time more and more strengthened, especially after his majesty’s honour visit to my country. As you may followed the news, deals worth $2 billion were singed by companies of both nations, as well as both governments have signed other treaties in relation to French language and culture• The French President during the visit expressed his keenness to hear the efforts taken by the Bahraini authorities to support teaching the French language, and promised to reinforce cultural, educational and scientific cooperation with Bahrain• In this matter, I believe that the French community in Bahrain also plays a vital role to make the bilateral relations of successful. Since my arrival here, me with my french colleagues humbly endeavored and put efforts to implement various initiatives to share our culture here, and also encourage others to explore our beautiful French language. My next project, Café Ségo, surely is one of my initiative to increase our cultural cooperation• I should not also forget to thank Bahrain and its people for the warm welcome to the French community. Bahrain King restores the nationality of 551 citizens

King Hamad of Bahrain on Sunday ordered the reinstatement of the citizenship of 551 Bahrainis stripped of their citizenship by court decisions, a few days after criticism by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The Bahraini sovereign, who can revoke court decisions, has asked the relevant departments to take into account in choosing the beneficiaries of "the nature of the crimes committed," says an official statement. "The study and assessment of the situation of convicted persons should be based on criteria relating to the gravity, impact and consequences of the crimes as well as to the danger that the convicted person may pose to national security", indicates the text. "King Hamad has asked the Minister of the Interior to study citizenship revocation decisions and to prepare a list of reintegration beneficiaries," the statement added. The small kingdom of Bahrain, close ally of the United States and Saudi Arabia, has been accused of resorting massively to the deprivation of nationality in its repression against the opponents, mainly Shiites.....
