           His sadness is constricting--it squeezes his heart and messes up his insides. It teeters his mind and makes him feel even more monstrous than before. His sadness makes it hard for him to breathe and he has to stop and wheeze if it gets too bad. He examines himself in his sadness and hates what he sees--mulls over every little thing undesirable about himself and chokes back tears when he thinks of all that he's lost. Except, he doesn't cry. Crying is unnatural for him. Once he hits that sadness he rots away at his emotions even more. He can't feel. He wants to feel numb. Feeling numb makes it better.
