Sprite’s illusions filled the air and the eyes of all the humans around. Her illusions also filled your eyes, the gold flecks in the air reflecting off of your pupils. Kingo couldn't help but watch you from across the courtyard. The way your lips curled up softly at the way sprite twisted the tails of glory the group had created and the way the corners of your eyes creased in amusement. But he also noticed the frown on your face whenever you glanced at Druig and Makkari. Sersi was trying to cheer you up but Kingo didn’t miss the pained glances you made towards Druig before excusing yourself from the courtyard. Kingo hated watching you leave parties early, and always before he had the chance to tell you how he felt.
He knew exactly where you were going. There was a quiet spot outside the city walls where he’d seen you sit amongst the large rocks when you were upset. He waited until he could slip out of the party unnoticed and made his way there. As he neared the large rock you usually sat on he could see your eyes focused on the night sky. Your head turned when the soft sound of his footsteps reached your ears.
“My dear fortune teller, why do you always leave the party?” He asked
“It doesn’t matter” you sighed, returning your gaze to the sky
Kingo hesitantly sat next to you, hoping you wouldn’t move. The two of you were friends, pretty close ones actually but he couldn’t deny the quickness of his heart when you were near.
“Kingo,” you started, “how do I get over him?”
He took a moment to think about that question. He’d been asking himself how he should get over you for a while now, especially since Druig was the only one on your mind.
“I’ve been trying to figure that out for myself for a very long time… and I still don’t know how” he said, turning his head away from you
You sighed and looked at him, “ are you ever going to tell me who it is you’ve been in love with for so long?”
He turned his head towards you and met your eyes, he could see the curiosity begin to beat out the sadness.
“When I’m ready you’ll know, ok?”
“Ok” you said with a small smile. His secret had been eating at your consciousness for millennia. You assumed that it was a beautiful mortal whose death he was still grieving but you knew he eventually would tell you.
About 100 years later you had finally moved on from Druig and began to find yourself seeing Kingo in a different way then you previously had. You couldn’t find him this morning though and instead were speaking to Ajak about your struggles.
“It’s just that sometimes I feel as if no one could love me”
“Y/n for someone with the gift of sight you truly are blind” Ajak stated
Your brows raised up, “well it’s the gift of foresight actually, but what do you mean?”
She was tired of your blindness to the obvious, “You have an entire family that loves you, and amongst them is a man that has truly loved you for as long as he’s known you”
“What? Who are you talking about?”
Ajak rolled her eyes, “y/n, go find Kingo”
Your eyes immediately widened and a smile slowly began to form on your face. You’d always loved Kingo but recently your definition of the word had begun to work into something more. But now that you knew how he felt you were determined to tell him.
You left the room and rushed around the Domo to find Kingo, eventually finding him in his room.
He looked at you with a million dollar smile when you entered his room, “Ah, y/n I was just about to come find you and show you this new idea for a pla-“
But before he could finish his sentence you gently grabbed his face and placed the most delicate kiss on his lips. After deepening it for a moment he pulled back and examined your face.
“What are you doing?” He asked in disbelief
You smiled, “I’m kissing the man I love”
He couldn’t help the smile that came, “you love me? I thought you were still in love with Druig”
You shook your head, “I haven’t even thought of him in over 75 years”
He smirked confidently while wrapping his arms around your waist, “and why might that be, my dear fortune teller?”
“Let’s just say I’ve had a handsome man bewitch me with his charms”
“I tend to do that” he laughed, “I guess you know who I’ve been in love with all this time now”
“I guess I do” you said smiling
“I’m glad the secret is out” he said before kissing you tenderly, and you could feel his smile against your lips
An: part of this was written in a Starbucks so shout out to the workers for being cool. Slay
I know that Druig is the huge favourite out there but I'm just soooo thirsty for some flirty Kingo stuff 💕💕
YEEEESSSS finally some kingo content!
listen man, flirting with kingo is all about the banter. i am a firm believer that kingo is a power bottom who lowkey enjoys playful roasting lol. maybe he shows you one of his movies and you’re like, “meh, hamilton’s better” and he’s like 😧😧😧 on the outside, but 😍😍😍 on the inside
makkari and gilgamesh have an ongoing bet abt who will cave first —and soon everyone joined.
(it’s kingo. kingo caved first.)
you’re dancing with the other villagers at the summer festivities, and he’s right there tearing it up with you. and maybe it’s the twinkling stars, maybe it’s the music, maybe it’s the spirit around you— so full of love, full of life. and kingo groans,
“goddammit. you’re unbelievable, you know that?”
“huh? what’d i do?”
“charming the hell out of everyone. it’s supposed to be my job, you know?”
and you smirk. “well, if you want it… come get it.”
and he does. he seizes you by the hips and kisses you, much to the raucous cheers of the crowd.
(he still swears up and down that your words meant that you caved first, and you argued it was the kiss that counted. the team is somewhat disappointed that apart from the PDA, the two of you still bicker and banter as much.)
DECEMBER DRABBLES – DAY SEVEN: First Snow with Kingo from Marvel's Eternals.
It didn’t matter how many times you saw snow, it was always as beautiful as it was the first time you’d seen it. The way it landed on the trees, settled on the ground. The way it glistened in the light and the way it made winter so much more magical.
The second you’d heard that snow was forecast today, you’d been glued to the window, waiting to see if it would actually snow.
Kingo, who was sat on the couch, his own eyes glued to the television as he watched a movie, was amused at the way you stared out at the snow-less street.
“How long are you going to sit there?” He asked you.
“As long as it takes for it to snow.”
The movie had been going for nearly an hour at this point and you had been watching for snow for the entire time. Kingo wondered if watching nothing was that entertaining.
“Just come and watch the movie with me, please?” He tried.
It didn’t work. You looked away from the window for a second, just to see what the movie was, before you caught the sight of something fluttering through the air outside the window.
Snow.
You gasped, sitting up straighter. It was snowing! It was finally snowing. The forecast had been surprisingly correct. It was coming down quickly, now, already beginning to settle on the grass of your front lawn.
Without hesitation, you jumped up from the couch and hurried to the front door, heading outside to take in the snow in all its glory in person. You held a hand out, watching as small snowflakes landed on your hand and began to melt.
Kingo, smiling, had paused his movie and followed you out, leaning against the doorframe and watching as you stepped out into the snow. The smile on your face was more beautiful to him than the snow.
He watched as you spun around, letting the snow fall on you and hoping that you didn’t slip over on the snowy path that led to your front door. The snow was falling on your shoulders, in your hair, on your eyelashes.
“There’s snow in your hair,” Kingo said, loud enough for you to hear. “It’s so pretty.”
You raised a hand to touch your hair tentatively, feeling the wet from the snow on it, and smiled. “You should come and join me and get some snow in your pretty hair, too!”
Kingo snorted, yet he obliged and came to join you in the snow. He’d follow you anywhere.
Now why is Kingo so underrated 😕🤔 there are literally no fanfics about him and istg Imma go crazy, and almost everything under the Kingo hashtag is about any other eternal (usually Druig) (though I'm not complaining) so here is me, begging on my knees for eternals writers to see this and write for Kingo, idc what you write, smut, angst, fluff ect just please write something for him 😭😭 I even have a prompt thing I made on my page that you can check out just please for the love of God give me Kingo fanfics/headcanons/drabbles/oneshots idcc
Summary: You are the most intriguing human Kingo has ever seen.
A/N: Written for my friend @caladrius103 :))
You were the most intriguing human Kingo had ever seen in his life.
He noticed you outside the set of his latest movie, huddled over a sketchbook and clad in a worn leather jacket. He didn’t know what it was about you that struck his interest so greatly, but he couldn’t take his eyes away from you. He stood on the side, watching you intently as your brow furrowed and you erased something you’d drawn, re-sketching your drawing and looking at it with a proud satisfaction.
You looked up and startled when you noticed him. “Can I… help you?” you inquired, a bit embarrassed.
Kingo pinked, quickly regaining his composure and summoning a charismatic smile as he made his way over to you. “Yes, actually,” he said. “I seem to have nothing to do on Friday night.”
“Tragic,” you replied, a small smile making its way onto your features.
Kingo sighed dramatically, flopping down beside you. “It is, isn’t it? I’m sure you have no idea how it might feel. What are you doing Friday night?”
You raised your eyebrows. “Believe it or not, I don’t have any plans either.”
Kingo faked a gasp and touched a hand to his heart. “What? Oh, my, I suppose we have a duty to help each other out, then,” he said with a wink.
Your smile stretched into a grin. “I suppose we do, don’t we?”
“Pick you up at seven?”
“Where will you be taking me?”
Kingo smiled coyly. “Ah, it’s a surprise.”
“Don’t be late.” You intentionally brushed your hand against his as you gathered your art supplies and made your way to your car.
