Atem stopped when Seto called out to him, casually crossing his arms and leaning against the doorway. A low chuckle fell from his lips, that reaction was totally worth it.

"What, Kaiba~? I just issued you a challenge, that's all~."

"Why assign it to a specific day, isn't love shown freely between two people? I'd hardly say lust is bad in a relationship, it just means you really love your partner right?" He...he might not get the whole thing...

It was a quiet, cool night in Domino, and Yugi had found enough courage to venture out and about for a little while. However, he had walked a bit too far for his lungs to handle properly, standing quietly upon a nearby bridge, trying to catch what little breath he could manage. He wasn’t particularly able to pay proper attention to his surroundings, chest heaving slightly as he tried to get his breathing back to normal. 

Gods, he wished he could have been able to walk like he used to, without struggling to breathe or getting exhausted after even the shortest distance, eyes looking out over the water as he thought about what it might have been like if he’d never run across those men who took away so much that night.

For three days she has sat in front of this building, only leaving when it was required of her. Day and nights pass with no movement otherwise. Her coal black eyes silently watching for the one she had sensed. There was a strong heart here, one of many conflicts but ultimately a good soul. It had drawn her in like a moth to a fire. 

Amaterasu can only wait and ponder, wondering about the heart she had sensed. Humans were odd but that was why she loved them as much as she did. With all their oddities and customs and even their vices. It was only a matter of time before the one she felt would appear... and she cannot help but be eager for that moment.

     Perhaps he could consider it lucky--if he actually believed in luck--that out of all the mortals from the past that he could run into, it was Seto Kaiba, “Well well. . . now that is a face I haven’t seen in a long time.”      Marik smirks, dark eyes dead focused on Seto, “You’re in favor of the gods, Mr. Organizer, since you’re not my target this evening.” A thumb idly plays with the earring hanging from his right ear--a rather casual stance for the creature of shadows and considering he had slipped into the large building unnoticed.

The beast turns his head upon sensing the arrival of another living creature. Golden eyes landing on the new arrival and studying him intently. Awfully bold of a human to appear before him with no armor.

‘....’ he does not speak, instead waiting to see what this stranger will do.

       Excitement comes as sky-sprung electricity, igniting the senses. Adrenaline is Atem’s natural happy high and his smile grows of its own accord when he’s looking at the board displaying the initials of the finalists. Atem’s win streak has intimidated the other duelists. Although, the one he will be soon facing on the duel field has been making attempts in getting under Atem’s skin for using cards similar to Yuugi. And according to him, the strategy of ‘The Copy Cat’ is obvious since they’ve all seen how Yuugi plays. The pharaoh reaction to it is an amused hum. He should’ve guessed that was going to happen sooner or later. Both his and Yuugi’s ace monster is Dark Magician. Something that won’t ever change. However, if one pays enough attention they will find out the difference in Yuugi’s and Atem’s overall decks and duel style.

       The identity of the Copy Cat has been a mystery. People say that he sounds like Yuugi from Duelist Kingdom. Others say that the shape of his eyes isn’t the same as Yuugi’s. And whenever he’s on the field he conveys striking confidence and charisma. Like he’s Yuugi but isn’t at the same time.

       By the end of the duel, the only monster standing is Dark Magician The Dragon Knight. The opponent had a difficult time destroying all of Copy Cat’s spell and trap cards when that monster came to life at the last second. Somehow, this Copy Cat person manages to turn the tables around at the last second. Discussions begin to spread that he’s also using the older Dark Magician cards rather than the newer ones that Yuugi has. But strangely, he has a couple of the newly released cards instead. That is likely so that he can change his strategies and build a stronger deck.

       Once the winner is announced, the duelists step away from the field. Atem adjusts the hood over his head. There is a pair of cat ears on it to go with his nickname. A belt hangs akin to a tail at the lower back of the hoodie. Fingerless onyx gloves with an etched paw pattern on the palms adorn Atem’s hands. And the rest of the outfit is a pair of black holo leather pants and boots.

       The pharaoh doesn’t plan on taking the spotlight for too long, however. His goal is to feel the thrill of dueling once again and discover how much Duel Monsters has advanced. He can only so far participate in professional tournaments until the suspicions rise enough for him to possibly take a break. But just one more won’t hurt.
