Starter for the kingofboogeymen
The bed creaked under Jamie as he leaned back. The sheets were unfamiliar, but it was still his room. Man, he hadn’t seen it so clean since he was young. College seemed to do that. Everything whisked away leaving his room behind bare and still. He hated the classes, hated the other student, well not all of them, but there was a certain something missing from his college experience.
He’s upset more than any else. No one’s at home. Mom and Soph off were off on on holiday adventures each. He’d wanted to surprise them with his presence, but apparently a Christmas miracle was to much to ask for.
Nursing the can of beer in his hand, he leaned back and watched the snow come down through his window. As expected there was nothing there. No sleigh, reindeer and no jolly Russian man with a sword. Maybe he’d finally gotten tpo old. The thought was sobering and Jamie took a drink with a sigh. At least he was too old to believe in the boogeyman anymore.
